Philadelphia Public Ledger November 2, 1933 Tesla 'Harnesses' Cosmic Energy
Inventor announces discovery to displace fuel in driving machinery. Calls Sun main source. A principle by which power for driving machinery of the world may be developed from the cosmic energy which operates the universe, has been discovered by Nikola Tesla, noted physicist and inventor of scientific devices, he announced today. This principle, which taps a source of power described as "everywhere present in unlimited quantities" and which may be transmitted by wire or wireless from central plants to any part of the globe, will eliminate the need of coal, oil, gas or any other of the common fuels, he said. Dr. Tesla in a statement today at his hotel indicated the time was not far distant when the principle would be ready for practical commercial development. Asked whether the sudden introduction of his principle would upset the present economic system, Dr. Tesla replied, "It is badly upset already." He added that now as never before was the time ripe for the development of new resources. While in its present form, the theory calls for the development of energy in central plants requiring vast machinery. Dr. Tesla said he might be able to work out a plan for its use by individuals. The central source of cosmic energy for the earth is the Sun, Dr. Tesla said, but "night will not interrupt the flow of new power supply."
andBrooklyn Eagle July 10, 1932 Nikola Tesla states:
I have harnessed the cosmic rays and caused them to operate a motive device. Cosmic ray investigation is a subject that is very close to me. I was the first to discover these rays and I naturally feel toward them as I would toward my own flesh and blood. I have advanced a theory of the cosmic rays and at every step of my investigations I have found it completely justified. The attractive features of the cosmic rays is their constancy. They shower down on us throughout the whole 24 hours, and if a plant is developed to use their power it will not require devices for storing energy as would be necessary with devices using wind, tide or sunlight. All of my investigations seem to point to the conclusion that they are small particles, each carrying so small a charge that we are justified in calling them neutrons. They move with great velocity, exceeding that of light. More than 25 years ago I began my efforts to harness the cosmic rays and I can now state that I have succeeded in operating a motive device by means of them. I will tell you in the most general way, the cosmic ray ionizes the air, setting free many charged ions and electrons. These charges are captured in a condenser which is made to discharge through the circuit of the motor. I have hopes of building my motor on a large scale, but circumstances have not been favorable to carrying out my plan.

John: Thanks for the evaluation on Tesla. I had that very impulse about the mass EMF via the Tesla technology. (email 1930 Pierce Arrow Electric Car) And you are right. Even if Tesla was on an inventive track that would eventually lead to another realization as the dangers of mass electrical pollution was recognized, like the atom bomb, science would have most likely diverted via the only funding source, to the government for defense (and as per population control theorist to use against mankind).

To: Eileen DannemannHello Eileen and whoever is listening,As a scientist, designer, and technically experienced person, I am as in awe of Tesla as anyone. He was one of the most advanced technical geniuses of the last century. However, he was not perfect, and there is a glaring inconsistency in the logic of many alternative or environmentally aware people who now praise him (as in this story). Misunderstanding Tesla is somehow in vogue. There are many (unconfirmed) stories about his power transmission ideas, and whether he pulled them off or not. These are circulated as gossip today, mostly by technically uneducated people and conspiracy-theory types who paint him as a savior who was beaten down by "the man."The truth is, there are many conspiracies going on in the world, and all anyone has to do is look in plain sight to see them everywhere. But Tesla's power transmission idea (such as in the car article) was A REALLY BAD IDEA, and he was not the victim of a conspiracy (in this narrow regard anyway). His plan was this; generate enormous amounts of electrical energy, them pump it into the atmosphere and/or earth, and then tune in to it at a distance to run any electrical device. Well, anyone with a rudimentary understanding of electricity and a hint of conscious awareness can immediately see just how bad an idea this is. I will explain, since most people do not understand electricity.Environmentally aware people agree that electromagnetic pollution, or EMF's and the like, are bad. Specifically, these are magnetic fields generated by electricity flowing thru wires (or the Earth). And no one, even unconscious people, want microwaves beaming thru them. But Tesla's core idea for power transmission was to avoid the wires, and send this power, well, everywhere. So instead of EMF's radiating from wires, they would be flowing thru the air, and the Earth, everywhere, along with radio and microwaves, on a huge scale. EMF's would not merely be a small (yet bad) by-product, with most of the power flowing thru wires; ALL power transmission would be - pure EMF's!!! If you even vaguely understand what this would mean, your mind should now properly be reeling from the disasterous consequences this would bring. I will refrain from elaborating. If this were possible on a practical, commercial scale (it is probably not), and society had implemented that plan, we would have EMF problems literally thousands of times worse than we now have. In fact, this is a classic example of a true, sincere scientific genius, who unfortunately never considered the health or environmental impact of what his idea would do to life on the planet. This is not an example of a good lone genius trying to do right for the planet or for society, who was squelched by "the man." This is an example of the kinds of problems that we are now all fighting. In fact, I am surprised that the ignorant businessmen now in charge of most everything are not actually trying to implement this very bad idea. If the idea was possible, they would probably not suppress it, they would bankroll it, to our detriment. So praise Tesla if you like for his many good ideas. But this car, and this method of moving power around, would have been like the genetic engineering or DDT or whatever of its day. Very fortunately, it never got implemented. So the writer has this exactly backwards. We were not somehow denied free power. In addition to praising a bad idea, the article displays a remarkable ignorance of the subject overall. It is filled with inaccuracies and unfounded gossip. Even if the idea had worked, it never would have been free. In fact, due to inefficiencies it would have cost MORE. Most of the rest of the article consists of non-sequiturs and illogical statements. When a technically knowledgeable person who might be on the fence about environmental policy reads an article like the one here, it makes them lose respect for the whole idea. They get turned off, and do not want to listen to others who are sincere & educated enough to be speaking about some specific political/environmental topic. So please, New Age conspiracy theorists, before you write about a topic, check with a couple of experts to see if you understand what you are talking about. And readers, be aware that there are enough problems right in your face that you can fix, without wasting time looking for conspiracies in the past in areas that you do not understand.John

This is very educational, if you don't know the few details on Nikola Tesla's 1930 Electric Car (suppressed) Eileen

Nik's Car was Wireless Dude! No need for downtime recharging it. Return to
Telsa Company like back in 1930. Wireless free radiant energy!Nikola Tesla had an Electric Pierce Arrow back in 1930, the ICE engine was replaced with an Electric Motor. The power source was a black box of radio tubes, in the glove compartment. The box had an antenna sticking out. Tesla would fool with some tuners and tune in the right frequency and got 240 volts delivered through the air to his car. The car ran almost silent. He had the car stashed in a barn near Niguera Falls. He was sending the energy from the Power Plant, some how. He said this power could be made possible for everyone. J.P.Morgan did not like the idea, because where do you put the meter? Morgan stopped funding and Tesla's Wardencliffe Tower was taken down. We were denied FREE power. Now we pay for gas & SMOG.
Here is the story : In 1930, Nikola Tesla asked his nephew, Petar Savo, who was born in Yugoslavia in 1899, to come to New York. Petar was 43 years younger than his uncle. Up to that date he had lived under stringent conditions in Yugoslavia, Tesla's country of birth. During the summer of 1931, Tesla took his nephew to Buffalo to unveil and test a new automobile. Tesla had developed it with his own personal funds. It was a Pierce Arrow, one of the luxury cars of the period. The engine had been removed, leaving the clutch, gearbox and transmission to the rear wheels undisturbed. The gasoline engine had been replaced with a round, completely enclosed electric motor of approximately 1m in length and 65cm in diameter, with a cooling fan in front. Reputedly, it has no distributor. Tesla was not willing to say who had manufactured the engine. It was possibly one of the divisions of Westinghouse.
The "energy receiver" (gravitational energy converter) had been built by Tesla himself. The dimensions of the converter housing were approximately 60 x 25 x 15cm. It was installed in front of the dashboard. Among other things, the converter contained 12 vacuum tubes, of which three were of the 70-L-7 type. A heavy antenna approximately 1.8 meters long, came out of the converter. This antenna apparently had the same function as that on the Moray converter (see chapter on Radiant Energy). Furthermore, two thick rods protruded approximately 10cm from the converter housing.
Tesla pushed them in saying "Now we have power." The motor achieved a maximum of 1800rpm. Tesla said it was fairly hot when operating, and therefore a cooling fan was required. For the rest, he said there was enough power in the converter to illuminate an entire house, besides running the car engine. The car was tested for a week, reaching a top speed of 90 miles per hour effortlessly. Its performance data were at least comparable to those of an automobile using gasoline. At a stop sign, a passerby remarked that there were no exhaust gasses coming from the exhaust pipe. Petar answered "We have no motor." The car was kept on a farm, perhaps 20 miles outside of Buffalo, not far from Niagara Falls.
A few months after this automobile test, and because of the economic crisis at the time, Pierce Arrow had to stop production. It is very likely that the interconnection between the electric motor and the transmission had been performed there. Pierce Arrow's tools were taken over by Studebaker, in South Bend. Not quite 30 years later, that company also vanished to form American Motors, jointly with Nash. Later, some of its fans attempted to resuscitate the Pierce Arrow. Unfortunately, they were not successful.
Thus, today that company's name is in a mausoleum, together with others, such as Horch, Maybach, Hispano-Suiza, Bugatti and Isotta Fraschini.
