Norton Utilities Trial V.2.0 Crack

Please read this carefully.

This patch removes the time limitation of most programs
of the Norton Utilities. It needs to be run on each .exe program separately.

The patcher expects a program named abc.exe

When your trial version expires, rename the program you wish to patch to
abc.exe and run the patcher nu-cr.exe. (Make a backup first).
Then rename it to its original name.

Important:
Not all .exe files in the NU directory are restricted.
Run the patcher ONLY on programs for which you actually get an error
message saying it has expired.

I do NOT recommend running the patch on these two files:

nregxprt.exe
regtrk.exe

This is the only known limitation of the crack. I haven't figured
out yet what the deal is with these, may just be my setup, but they
give me errors.

These are the programs on which I have sucessfully tried the patch:

image32.exe
sd32.exe
ndd32.exe
sw32.exe
sysdoc32.exe
ue32.exe
nregedit.exe
si32.exe
ncompare.exe

These are all files of 191488 bytes lenght, date 6/20/97.
All other .exe files don't seem to expire.
The "About" screen still says "unregistered evaluation copy" but you
can easily hex-edit your name or whatever in there.

-----
For those who prefer hex-editing manually, or just want to learn,
here is what the patch does:

nag screen:

search for:
0f 85 ba 00 00 00 a1
replace by:
e9 bb 00 00 00 90 a1
