Obviously you did NOT read the Friggin FAQ or the BIG RED LETTERS on the main page when you first arrived at the Forums or you would already know that we expect Posters on these Forums to do their OWN homework BEFORE they post on these Forums.

In you case, that means that YOU are the one who is supposed to do the initial work of attempting to find the answer to your own question by searching on the NET for answers. Otherwise, you simply make it obvious that you are too lazy to do some of the work yourself.

This means the YOU should go to YOUR favorite search engine and YOU should do the searching for information on your subject. YOU should enter items in that search engine such as:

Reverse Engineering PSP (I got 170,000 hits)
reversing .pbp ( I got 6,520 hits)
reversing .psp ( I got 979,000 hits)
etc.

You get the point?

Stop being a lazy butt and start actually LEARNING about reverse engineering. YOU do that by actually going through the time and effort of DOING THE WORK. It is not a skill someone can or will hand you on a silver platter. You have to be willing to devote substantial time and effort to the "process" of "learning" and they take more time than simply "asking" someone to do the work for you.

Now go ACTUALLY READ THE FAQ!

@JMI: I really admire your obstinacy concerning your attempt of educating young crackers to use the search and faq

Somehow I find your protestations of actual searching impossible to believe.

First, you stayed here for some time after I posted my response to your original post and read it at that time and didn't post your claims of "innocence" at that time.

Second, if you HAD actually Read the Friggin FAQ you would have known that you were required to SEARCH before you Post and that you should have stated that you had searched before you Posted.

Third, if you had really done ANYTHING before you posted your post, such as actually read some of the Threads here, especially in the Newbie Forum, you would have been aware that you could expect this type of response from me to the type of post you made.

Fourth, if you had actually done ANY searching, especially using the criteria I gave you, YOU would have found information on your subject. Using the first search criteria I gave you, such as:

reversing psp

the second listing is from "the Reverse Engineering Team Board" which contains a post from "phjux," dated as far back as 2005 which reads:

"PSP has been out for a while now and if any one is thinking of buying one make sure you get one with firm ware version 1.50... any thing != 150 is useless for running home brew, iso's, etc. (except for 1.00, but best to get 1.50 instead). I don't really want to type too much 'cuz I'm a lazy mofo but home brew is what they call home made programs/code, etc. Iso's are games you download (PSP's are region free; movies are not). Any ways there a lots of PSP hacking related sites that explain pretty much every thing you need to know. The PSP scene is big and will continue to grow with n00bs from EU with a billion new PSP hacking sites popping up.

Just do a simple search and you will find out all the information you need."

Now HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT YOU CAN'T FIND ANY OF THEM???

What about PSPBrew.com?

What about: http://pspupdates.qj.net/Reverse-engineered-from-DAX-Custom-Firmware-3-72-HX-1/pg/49/aid/107047 and any of the rest of the "stuff" on http://pspupdates.qj.net/????

What about: [RELEASE] PSP Mac Address Spoofer???

These were just from the first couple of pages of a simple search!!!

If YOU expect to actually be "Reversing" ANYTHING, YOU need to spend some quality time actually LEARNING SOMETHING ABOUT REVERSE ENGINEERING AND HOW IT WORKS!!

There is NO MAGIC PILL your mommy can give you which will make YOU a "Reverser." YOU have to start from the beginning and LEARN about TOOLS which will allow YOU to look at the CODE of software you want to REVERSE! Such tools include debuggers and disassemblers, but YOU aren't going to learn about them sitting on your butt, with your head turned on it's side waiting for someone to "pour the information into your ear!"

YOU need to begin YOUR personal journey of discovery and that journey will TAKE TIME AND EFFORT FROM YOU!

THE MOST IMPORTANT FIRST STEP IS ACQUIRING THE DETERMINATION TO MAKE THAT JOURNEY. THE SECOND MOST IMPORTANT STEP IS "LEARNING HOW TO SEARCH" FOR THE INFORMATION YOU NEED/WANT ON THE SUBJECT YOU HAVE DETERMINED TO LEARN.

So far, you have only indicated that you want to be spoon fed with answers to questions which are way too broad for simple, easy answers, and you have only shown that you are determined NOT to actually look at some of the information which is out there and available to YOU, if you actually GO LOOK FOR IT!

If you though you could come here and someone would just hand you a complete system for "reversing/cracking" YOUR favorite game for the PSP, you didn't spend ANY time reading anything here before you posted your original question.

People here are willing, and there probably are people here knowledgable on your subject area, but YOU have to show that YOU are both ready, willing, and able to make that "personal effort" required to take that journey through the dark codewoods yourself.

So far YOU have shown NOTHING other than YOU WANT something. We already know THAT. What real EFFORT have YOU devoted to what YOU WANT?

You'll find this useful, also:

http://ps2dev.org/psp/Tools

Before trying to reverse anything on the PSP you should learn to code for it. There is a wealth of information out there now; a year or so ago when info was less widespread it still only took me about 1 hour to get a dev environment up and running and compile my first few simple homebrew apps.

Also, googling for "Tyranid PSP" will get you a long way. PSPLink will be invaluable for you.
