I have been trying to crack Hex Workshop 3.11. I haven't seen any essay on this app.
The app has a 30 day limit and after setting my clock forward and then restoring it, the app stays expired. I tried to disable the expiration message box, but couldn't find the right breakpoint routine. I am using WIndows 2000 with Sice 4.02. Task returns with No LDT message. Anything else is quite painful.
I am a relative newbie and am trying to figure out how to go about cracking this app. I have read a lot of essays and I am simply getting lost in the serial generation code. I could use a little Zen and if any of you can point me in the right direction, it shall be much appreciated.

Have you tried installing it with RegMon and FileMon active? Often time-out keys are stored in the registry or a special file.
