ABOUT THE PROGRAM 


Master Converter is a powerful Windows utility designed to 
fill one specific purpose: it allows quick and easy conver
sion between units of measurement.  
The interface is extremely intuitive and user friendly, 
enabling even first-time users to convert from one unit to 
another without a hassle.

Master Converter is pre-configured to convert over 700 
units in 38 categories.  The categories include: length, 
area, volume, dry volume, time, speed, acceleration, mass, 
density, force, energy, power, pressure, flow, data storage, 
data transfer, viscosity, temperature, capacitance, charge, 
conductance, thermal conductivity, angle, angular velocity, 
illumination, luminance, numbers, fractions, radiation, and 
more!

HOW TO GET VALID SERIAL NUMBER by using SoftIce


This program is SHRINK'ed ; the prog refuse S/N from earlier
version.  In this tute I will not provide you how do I trace
the codes ( coz it's too long and boring ) and no unpacking
procedure is to applied.   However, I include you the break
points I've made so you can follow after reading this tute.



1.  Run MCONVERT.EXE, click HELP/REGISTER submenu, in the 
    registration dialog box type these below informations :

	Name	: Pirates Order
	Code   : 738810-501020 or 738825-105042

    Do not click OK button yet
    

2.  Load SoftIce by pressing [ CTRL + D ], set a breakpoint 
    as follow :
    

	BPX hmemcpy     [enter]   and
   	F5  to return to the main program


3.  Now, click OK button ... you'll return back into SoftIce!
    In within SoftIce press F11, then F12 11 times until you 
    see and break at BPX #015F:0048E4B9 .

	Clear breakpoint(s) then do a search string as
	follow : 

	bc*  [enter]
	s 0 l ffffffff E8 E7 90 F8 FF 8B 45  [enter]
	Pattern found at 0167:0047AD2C
	bpx 015F:0047AD2C  [enter]
	Press X or F5	to let SoftIce break into new location.
				( NOTE: re-enter S/n if necessary ).

				   Write it down this potential reg code.


4.  Disable all breakpoints by typing 

	BC *   [enter]
	Press F5 or X to return to the main program
     

5.  Repeat registration procedure and keyed-in  738041*584920  as 
    your S/N.
    Click OK button ..... you're registered.


6.	Where the hell is my registration code is stored ??

	The correct registration code is stored in the file called 
	MCONVERT.INI  as follow : 
	[Master Converter]
	ActiveCategory=Acceleration
	....
	....
	RegistrationCode=738041*584920


7.  How can I practise with my own user name ?

	-  I strongly recommended you not to do this !


8. The breakpoints : 

	* BPX #015F:0048E4B9 ==> 1st break after HMEMCPY is out
	  BPX #015F:0047AD2C ==> direct location where it generate
	  BPX #015F:0048E556 ==> press F8 immediately when you 
				       break here and start tracing
	* BPX #015F:00430112 ==> trace here if you 
	  BPX #015F:0047AB4D ==> wanna keygen
