ABOUT THE PROGRAM 


Text Scanner was Developed as an aid in searching for Text 
within Files stored within Directories or Multiple Drives 
on a Computer System.  The Text Scanner is also capable of 
seaching Network orShared Folders.  The Windows Operating 
System does not have this 'Grep' feature by default which
is common within any Unix or Linux environment.

The Features available within this Software Tool can be 
effective when used correctly.  When a Scan for Text is 
started the Software will provide feedback on how many 
Files found contain the Text along with the Position within 
the File and File Size.  At the end of a Scan, details of 
the Time taken and Total Files searched is also displayed 
along with a List of all Files containing the Text for you 
to view.

HOW TO GET VALID SERIAL NUMBER by using SoftIce



1.  Run TEXTSCAN.EXE, in the registration dialog box type 
    these below informations :

	Code    : 738810506969

    Do not click OK button yet
    

2.  Load SoftIce by pressing [ CTRL + D ], set a breakpoint as 
    follow :
    

	BPX hmemcpy     [enter]   and
   	F5  to return to the main program


3.  Now, click OK button... you'll return back into SoftIce!
    In within SoftIce press F11, then F12 11 times until you 
    see and break at :

	register
	: d edx  [enter]  ==> can you see 6122790112992 at vrtual 
				 address 0167:004788F0 ?? Write it down.


5.  Disable all breakpoints by typing 

	BD *   [enter]
	Press F5 or X to return to the main program
     

6.  Repeat registration procedure and keyed-in 6122790112992 as 
    your S/N. 
    Click OK button .....  there you're registered.


7.	Where the hell is my registration code is stored ??

	The correct registration code is stored in the registry as
	follows : 
	REGEDIT4

8.  How can I practise with my own user name ?
