Searched for PCB Software but ... most programs are messy and not at all good.Best program in this field is Protel [ http://www.protel.com ].They are giving their software as 30 Day Trial [ Full funtionality ].This can be easily cracked.Latest version available is ProtelDXP [113MB].It is for WinNT and WinXP.They have stopped giving older version [Protel 99 --- the Best] for evaluation [ For Win9x and WinNT ].I searched the web and got a link to full version of Protel99 [ Lucky -- 60MB].Downloaded it but i couldn't find ACCESS CODES for it to function.[Searched every where on web .... no way ].But after 1hour effort i was able to crack it and made it work with out ACCESS CODES [ Lucky ].Here i am presenting a breif explanation of using Protel.

Work Space ::..

Protel 98 is no at all good when compared to Protel 99.Protel 99 has a design explorer which work as a client communicating with server.Each design is stored in a database file [ Schematic capture + PCB Design].

Steps in Designing PCB ::..

1. Schematic Capture : Make a schematic file and draw your cricuit diagram with Protel tools.

Don't forget to assign footprints [ Package type .. like TO-92A ] to all components.

2. Create NetList : Create Net list of your Schematic diagram.

3. Create New PCB File and Auto Route : Make a new PCB file [using PCB Wizard] and export your NetList and apply "Auto Placement" of components.Then apply "Auto Route".PCB is ready to take Print

4. 3D Viewing your PCB : Protel has a 3D Viewer.So you can see actual PCB.
