View Full Version : MultiKey V18.0.1
I don' think anybody mentioned it last week, but MultiKey V18.0.1 has been released. The Sentinel 64 bit problem has been fixed and Hardlock HL_CALC function is now supported.
Remove the .zip from each filename to leave a normal multipart rar arcive.

Thank you for sharing Trit0n,
After you install version 18.0.1 and version 18.0.2 I have a problem with the driver in XP64 bit,
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"
This never happened to me earlier.
Any idea is welcome. Thank you very much.
Regars,
Diego

If newer doesnt work use older which work.
New version are useful only if you need Guardant support and it is not much used key...

Thank you very much for your reply Benito,
The problem is that the previous version has a problem for sentinel x64 bit, and say that this new version corrected this problem, for this reason you need to use the new version. Thank you.

RUS options is simply part of dongle memory... you can read/write it but not decrypt by emulator.

devcon.exe in "x64" dir seems wrong version (it's a 32 bit version  ) and doesn't work in x64 systems.
I've tried to replace the actual release 18.0.2 x64 devcon.exe with the "old" devcon.exe (version 17.0.0 x64) but it could not retrieve drivers in multikey.sys so nothing will be installed then no emulation is made.
Latest 64bit Devcon.exe is available here.
Git

the devcon.exe in the "here" attached files Multikey 18.0.1 and 18.0.2 are the same and are all 32bit version.
Also in the x64 dir there's a 32bit devcon.exe
The devcon.exe found in x64 dir of old Multikey 17.0.0 is a good x64, but it does not work with the latest x64 multikey.sys (v18.0.2 and v18.0.1).
If there's another version of x64 devcon.exe that works with last multikey please attach it in this thread.
thanks

I've downloaded the multikey 18.0.1
but it doesn't work under vista
-I installed driver's key
-run in safemode
-multikey 64/install.bat
-> It writes devcon failed
I also tried with devcon64 by replacing the devcon.exe in multikey 64
and then it worked drivers sucessfully installed
but when I look on device manager Vista says me that he could not load the driver because he is corrupted same problem than diegotores http://www.reteam.org/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=113&d=1238082991

multikey drivers did not signed, so you have two ways on Vista x64:
1. Make your own signature;
2. F8 on every start, "do not check drivers signature"
I can make proper signature, if someone helps me to create cat file for driver...

I told him 2 versions ago how to do it so it should be working. It's working fine on my emulator.

I'm missing something here 0.18.0.3 works fine with XP64 but with Vista X64 its not loading as it needs to be Digitally Signed. How are we getting around this now? I was hoping F8 saafe mode would work but, Nope!
Use the Search facility Bob, this was covered about a month ago and somebody gave a URL to a good article on the sugject.

I was trying to attach the files from the acorlink but couldnt so posted link.
But have a couple of questions.
If the certificate Signing app is freely available why was the driver not signed for Vista?
When I do figure out the instruction that came with arcor, will the driver be good for any machine with vista x64 or would I have to run this on each individual machine?
The instructions don't seem to point to the driver with the command line instruction so I dont quite get it.
The reason he didn't sign it is probably because it costs quite a few hundred dollars minimum to get a developers certificate and it will only be granted if your details are disclosed and your reputation impeccable. Doesn't exactly go hand in hand with writing dongle emulators.
So it has to be fudged. Full fidging instructions you will find if you search here.

Oh nooo, I knew that he/she could not go about it through Microsoft, but why not use Arcor to sign?
Does it not work?
I have read so many diffrent ways people have tried but have not seen the best way yet. I might be missing something along my searches. But I'm in here reading every night. Great thanks Klopschik! For the life of me I cant under stand the below instructions to sign the Multikey.sys so I wouldnt have to use driver ready. Would be nice to get some coaching from the pros!
Enable the testsigning mode in the vista boot loader:
bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON
These instructions are for the first time you sign a driver:
1) Create the certificate:
makecert.exe -$ individual -r -pe -ss "WRFan Certificate Store" -n CN="WRFan Treibersignierung" "WRFan Treibersignierung.cer"
2) Install the certificate into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store:
certmgr.exe /add "WRFan Treibersignierung.cer" /s /r localMachine root
or do it manually through the Certificate snap-in:
%windir%\System32\certmgr.msc
3) Sign the driver with the certificate:
signtool.exe sign /v /s "WRFan Certificate Store" /n "WRFan Treibersignierung" BT848.sys
4) Verify the signed driver validity:
signtool.exe verify /pa /v BT848.sys
5) Overwrite the original driver with the signed one and reboot your system. Changes to the vista boot loader require a reboot, if you already are in testsigning mode, you might open the device manager and re-activate the device that relies on the signed driver, then a reboot is not necessary
--------------------
For signing further drivers, repeat steps 3 + 4 + 5
It is spelled out exactly step by step, what more could anybody do to help you. Do you want somebody to actually do it for you?
Git

LOL, Mind?
Sorry Couldn't resist
But seriously, I don't see where to type in Multikey.sys? I know Treibersignierung is German for driver at least I think so, so do I replace that with Multikey.sys?
From what I have gathered though it only creates a Test Certificate (Not a Hacked one) so you would still have to boot in test mode to use it. (Is that true?) If so seeing I dont cant get XP64 drivers for my laptop im stuck with Vista 64 and using my dongle! (Sucks)
Thanks

It is the Guardant dumper file that is the source of the problem. McAfee SecurityCenter deletes the Guardant dumper Grd2Mult.exe everytime I try to unrar it, claiming it is infected by a 'New Malware.n' Troyan...

Maybe [WinUpack]/[Upack_Patch]/[PolyEnE] signatures in the file are the problem.
if you don't trust the dumper try this:

Hello,
I'm having some trouble to get this thing flying.
I got:
- Vista x64 without the driver signing check
- h5dmp
- unidmp2reg 1.15b
- multikey 0.18.0.3
- hasp hl pro dongle
- hasphl2009.exe
I used hasphl2009 to get the key1 and key2, and then dumped the dongle on a xp-machine with h5 dump.
I converted the dongle-dump using unidmp2reg into the vusb format. I then edited the reg file to match the new path of multikey (I just compared it with an appropriate example).
I added the file to the registry (yes I know there are still the q/a keys missing at this point).
I clicked install.cmd in the 64bit dir of multikey. The Virtual USB MultiKey Device shows in the device manager.
But windows does not detect any virtual dongles. Actually whenn I click restart.cmd or remove.cmd the console window just hangs.
When I reboot the machine with signed drivers only active, it does not load the multikey driver and I can remove it wthe the remove.cmd.
Does anyone know where my mistake might be?=
regards
Darky
Dongle not showing in Device Manager is exactly what happens when a required Reg file entry is missing or incorrect. Check line by line with the example supplied with MultiKey.
I am not quite sure what you mean about the driver not loading though.

Maybe DongleType line is missing in your Reg file

Maybe DongleType line is missing in your Reg file
Should have mentioned it, of course I added the dongletype line with a value of "1" for hasp.
In my opinion the main problem might be the strange behaviour of the multikey emu itself. Meanwhile I tried the 32 bit version on a win32 system and got the same problem: after intstalling with install.cmd, remove.cmd and restart.cmd don't do anything, it seems like the devcon.exe hangs. The console windows just shows a blinking cursor - nothing more.
try install the original hasp/hardlock drivers before multikey.

Hi,
there were some hasp drivers installed, since the protected app works with the original dongle. I updated the Drivers to version 5.60 from the aladdin homepage and reinstalled the multikey driver. No success so far.
I even noticed another Problem: as soon as the multikey-driver is installed all my connected usb-devices cease to function. If I plug in an USB-Memory-Device it is not recognized by Windows, the light of the HASP-Dongles won't turn on anymore. After deinstalling multikey (without the signed option on) all usb-devices again work totally normal.
Same behaviour on a XP machine.

How To Install Sentinel Emulator on Vista x64
-------------------------------------------
1) Install ReadyDriver Plus: http://www.citadelindustries.net/readydriverplus/index.php
2) Download Multikey posted here: http://www.reteam.org/board/showpost.php?p=13121&postcount=33 and run install.cmd under /Release/MultiKey64. Next, install Sentinel.REG file under /Examples
3) Remember to reboot your machine immediately after completing #2!
If this doesn't work, then follow steps below:
3) On a different x86 (32 bit) machine, follow steps 1 & 2 posted here: http://www.reteam.org/board/showthread.php?t=662
4) Use the ssp to reg converter ver 1.11 posted at the bottom of that message in step #3 to obtain .REG from .SSP.
5) Open the REG file in Notepad or any other text editor and make the following changes:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
\Services\Emulator\Sentinel\Dump\XXXX0000]
To
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet
\MultiKey\Dumps\0000XXXX]
6) Use the .REG with Multikey (step #2) and reboot your machine!
Assumes:
- You have access to a 32-bit machine
- You have access to the Sentinel USB dongle
If everything was done right, you should see this:

Hope this helps :p
