I use your dmp2mkey v1.1 to convert a PVA V3.3 SuperPro dump to a registry file suitable for the MultiKey emulator,but when I lauch the program protected by the dongle, The reg file doesn't work. I compare the reg file with another one whick I made along with y8y8y8y8's method,I find some differents between these tow reg files as mentioned below:

I have tested the reg flie which I made along with y8y8y8y8's method worked pefectly,but you dmp2mkey v1.1 coverted reg file
doesn't work. I replaced the sntMemory content in dmp2mkey v1.1 coverted reg file with y8y8y8y8's method,and I find the MultiKey
dongle worked well.
Would you check this problem and tell me what's wrong with the dmp2mkey v1.1? Thank you!

Upload the dump to rapidshare or similar and PM me the URL please. I should mention, I've used this program for a year or two now and not had any problems with it. All I have done recently is modify it's output to suit MultiKey and I have nor changed the cell data generation routines. A bug may have crept in though, so let me see your dump please.

I found it woked with the MultiKey. It seems that my orignal PC has some trouble. But I don't know the reason.
BTW I found there is a little difference between this reg file and my old reg file produced with f1_nodongle.exe.

which I think is the same as you now get. Also, the other dump for this dongle from 2007 gives similar results. I am 99.999% sure dmp2mkey is not the source of your problem. The spurious 0x0008 for WP also seems strange, was that on your suspect PC ?.

Just for interest, your dump gives 1 enhanced algo but the 2007 dump I have gives 2 enhanced algos, cells 0x22 and 0x26, both with different Descriptor to the algo in your dump.

I had two Sentinel SafeNet USB SuperPro dongles.
I use PVA 3.3 without BruteWP to dump them to "dmp" files.
Then using dmp2mkey.exe to generate .reg files.(dmp2mkey.exe spro_RNBO_SPN_DRIVER_19df_0.dmp)
However, when I use multikey to emulate them.
It alway says no keypro.
And I had tried modify the reg files
\MultiKey\Dumps\19DF0000
to
\MultiKey\Dumps\000019DF
or
\MultiKey\Dumps\000019DF2
They still can't work!!
Could you help me to solve it?
Or how can I dump my keypro??

Can you be a bit more specific please, if I have a bug in dmp2mkey I want to fix it. I have been playing with this dump and have solved it with dmp2mkey several times today, but I have done work on the utility since I last released it, so I may have fixed a bug without realising it.

Cell 0x04 = 0xD180 in my output and Bfox's, I don't see a difference there. It is the write password. Cell 0x26 = 0x824A2DDD I have derived a different descriptor. No idea why it is hapenning, but I think you may have found a bug. I'll look at it, thanks.

There's no problem for you to overcome, it is a strange dump because it has many standard/simple algorithms which are not usually used very much.

Yes, it's the same bug. If you compare it to cell 0x26 in the previous post it has identical value. I have fixed the bug and am just finishing some other stuff before I upload a new version.

With a dump with several standard algos, there is a small but finite chance that the solver will return 0x824A2DDD instead of the correct descriptor. If an algo in the the dump has the characteristics to trigger the bug, it will then happen most (but not all) runs on that dump. Note that the correct solution 0x89AB1234 is the same for cells 0x08 and 0x26 also.

Let us see your orignal 1.dmp file on the Hexeditor. This file has been generated by PVA dumper with BruteForce WP-option unselected. Please see carefuly what kind of solver which i used and how they show their logs :

Well, these two solvers give us different .ssp file. I myself never test your protected s/w. If you confirm that one of these regs work, it's because we have the correct .ssp file from tch2k/tch2000's solver.

As i said that the problem is not on the .dmp. The problem is one of the public solver give you strange .ssp. Git has been update his dmp2mkey.exe (dmp2mkey V2.1 14-Aug-2009) : http://reteam.org/board/showpost.php?p=15157&postcount=1 . You can try it.

And I don't know what is the "strange dump"!!
dmp2mkey.exe will solve and convert directly a .dmp generated by PVA dumper 3.3. Since you unable brute force WP option to dump your dongle, then you may edit your .dmp in the Hexeditor and write the correct WP. Remember that PVA dumper 3.3 defaultly place the WP in cell[2]. Next, resolve and reconvert the .ssp with these two tools. Finaly you have additional 2 reg from edited-dmp (Added-WP). Try each reg and write your comment here.

It's very important that if you want to edit/write a WP, it's better you do it on the generated .ssp file. Don't confuse between the WP-cell on the generated-PVA 3.3 dmp and the .ssp file. ;)

Can I dump a "normal" dump with which tools??
Yes you can. You should read many thread here in order to find so many different way to overcame you problem. There are many available public sspro dumper and solver.

for example, the following public dumper will generated a series of .dmp files :

Usage: sprodump.exe [-switch]

Switches:
-b Do not bruteforce the Write Password!

If you dump your dongle with this dumper with brute WP enable, then open your eyes to see the log in the cmd screen. See carefuly the default cell of WP and compare it with the generated PVA 3.3 dmp.

btw, remember that the default file name of dumper which i found is spp.exe (61,440 bytes ; December 27, 2005). Last year i found this dumper include it's solver by googling.

There are another dumpers which will generate .dmp file. But usualy you still need edit the generated-dmp in a HexEditor ;) in order to solve it with both tch2k/tch2000's and Git's solver.

also you can try to dump your sspro dongle with sporaw's or neobit's dumper. These dumper will generate a .bin file extention. Again... and again... another tch2k/tch2000's solver will help you. ;) Simply search, read, understand and do it yourself before ask.

I did not convert it. :) tch2k/tch2000's solver (f1_nodongle.exe) solve it for me. Reading so many article and searching some thread deal with this kind of problem, will give us useful understanding. With the help of any Hexeditor, i edit the .ssp based on any references given by these threads and articles. The edited-ssp has been converted by y8y8y8y's ssp2reg.1.1. The example sentinel.reg file distributed together with multikey emulator, direct me to the proper multikey sspro reg. Well, For me this is one of a 'gateway' to enter the "art of reverse engineering" for newbies like us. :D

I have dumped my actual old sspro dongle. I used SSD version 7.5.0.1, Driver Date : 4/22/2008 on 32 bit W2KXP. I have dumped it with Brute WP options selected with two release of PVA 3.3 dumper as follows :
- Original File name : sprodmp.exe ; File Version: 3.3.8.0 ; Size : 130,048 bytes ; CRC-32: 529C5CE3 ; November 26, 2005.
- Original File name : sprodmp.exe ; File Version: 3.3.8.0 ; Size : 53,760 bytes ; CRC-32: C085D9DB ; July 01, 2005.

Both PVA 3.3 release generated an identical spro_RNBO_SPN_DRIVER_dead_0.dmp

FYI, before i continue my post, i tell you that the spro_RNBO_SPN_DRIVER_dead_0.dmp include the content of cell[0] - cell[7] are not the real value. I have replay and sent my real dmp include it's original license based on your request in p.m last month. The .dmp is a dump file which was be licensed by a .lic file. You may check it again.

I have used 4 kind of solver to solve it.

Without one or the other (preferably the file) I cannot make a comment. In fact I don't even know what you are trying to say. Can you upload the original intact dump to me please and summarize in one short sentence what you are trying to say. I AM NOT TRYING TO STEAL YOUR DATA, OK?. If you are saying that you sent a dump to me a month ago, I would not have kept it.

Not sure what you mean. However, you have found another bug, thank you. If the dump has no algos (filesize = 192 bytes) then mkey2dmp sees it as an invalid dump. Will be fixed in V2.3 as soon as I can persuade my compiler to work again :(

I just lost the original dongle key. However I have dng and registry file for the origibal sentinel pro dongle. Anyone have any idea how to re-compile again into new dongle key?

I have purchase the sentinel super pro SDK software and new sentinel dongle key. But dont know how to use it because required a software to recomplie with the USB key.

May I know if there is a simple VB program to read registry file? so I can recompile with sentinel SDK software and dongle key.

Without the new dongle key, the system cannt read the registry file. Can i do that? sorry my english is not good.

I am trying to get a program to run I have dumped the key from my sentinel spro w/ pva 3.3, made the .reg w/ dmp2mkey, Installed Multikey x64 in Windows 7. Emulator is recognized by computer but program says invalid key. Please help me, it would very much appreciated. I tried using safedump but it would give me error "failed with 59".

Did you read the readme.txt for safedump?. All the error messages are in there along with a note saying : NOTE : THIS UTILITY NEEDS V7.5.0 OR LATER OF THE SENTINEL DRIVERS

I did, I am using 7.5.1 right now for Sentinel Drivers. I was unable to find code 59 in the readme.txt.

SafeDump cannot give "failed with 59", it is not one it's error codes as you point out. So the error must be coming from the driver or emulator. Is the error in a dialog or in the command shell?

I am sure that I have newest drivers, I don't think that is the issue. I had this working on win 7 x32 with sentimul2007. But I've upgraded to x64 so Im trying to get this to work for me. I've attempted many different ways to dump the key. I've had the wp= 00,08 when I used f1xxxx to solve my .dmp. I'm just out of ideas and wanted to see if anyone could see anything wrong with my .dmp or.reg.
