I would like to see #ret on EFNet happen. I am a fairly frequent user of EFNet so I say why not...the only problem is that I don't believe we have the resources to host a botnet. I'll talk to everyone else and we'll look at the idea.

We have the resources for a botnet ;) Thats no problem.. The reason we haven't opened up on efnet is because I think if we open up on efnet too quickly then the board won't get used and we'll end up with nothing accomplished except a popular irc channel, which is to say nothing accomplished.. We are here to strive to get people to share knowledge and participate with eachother in group projects. If we get on efnet too quickly I think that plan will fade quickly. Once this board gets popular though I think that we may move to EFNet to furthur discuss the projects off of the board as well as still on the board. As it would produce a more realtime medium. I could be wrong though..

Treue enough. We will stick to this board instead for a long while now :)

For now we'll hold off. This forum is picking up and going great. A lot of great topics and new faces coming along. It's nice to wake up to 5 emails for topic replies in the morning ;)

I know this is an old thread, but I've noticed that #RET on efnet is +k.

Has this been done on purpose? Is the channel exclusive?
Or just been reserved by RET or possibly by non RET members?

Let me know if possible.

Thanks.

The channel is for exclusive visitors at this point. Sorry.

You're welcome to stop by #cracking4newbies. There are a number of public channels on efnet, but the RET channel is exclusive to people we've given the key to.

Who qualifies as exclusive? Just curious...I've actually never used EFNet before.
