alright im a newb trying to learn and so far i'm doing well, I have learned some basics already like NOP's and changing JNE to JE etc. but i want to move on into key generators, most key gen tutorials i see around are using softice as a tool so i cant really follow with things. Is there any decent tutorial anyone knows which does it in olly or any other free debbugers?

I am also looking for a book that will teach me assembly for reverse-engineering. I am currently reading the art of assembly but is there any other book else you recommend?

And yeah any pointers else i should remember?

marcus: unfortunately I think you are in the wrong place. This website is not really targetted at beginners in reverse engineering. You may check out RE-Search for any information but besides that I would recommended a different starting location.. perhaps http://new2cracking.cjb.net.. ? or #new2cracking on efnet.
