Need help with an emulator situation

Hey guys

I've been scouring for months now on how to implement dongle emulation for a Sentinel superpro dongle for a key that I ALREADY OWN so I'm not trying to crack or hack the thing. However, I want the KNOWLEDGE of how to create an emulator or where I can find one and use the ALREADY DUMPED data from it in an emulation scenerio. I've hunted high and low, one person wants $250 and had quotes up to $750 to replicate it. I've seen screenshots that it can be done. I have an N-GEN crack for an emulator but don't have the original software that it cracks or even know where to find it (any ideas?).

The key is $100 to replace from the company who makes the machine, so you can see why I refuse to pay that. Does anyone have an emulator for this dongle or site or someone I can purchase an emulator from? A tutorial to create on for general sentinel superpro keys?

I am pretty good but this one has me stumped.

Hi,
First you have to copy two dll files in system32 folder, then from service folder run install.bat. Now you can use sentinelmonitor.exe to monitor the talks between your protected program and your SSP dongle, then save as a reg file, merge it into registry and remove your dongle!
Remember that you must have your original sentinel driver installed on your system. The latest version of sentinel driver (7.3.2) also will work.

What do you mean?
We are talking about Sentinel Superpro key. If you have Hasp or others, you must use other emulators.

Yeah, you're right.
I am going to make one complete driver-based emu, and will share it to the board.

I have seen some problem with Toro 1.7 dlls. But 1.6 worked for me.

This "emulator/monitor" cant emulate dongles with std/enh algorithm !

No, You are wrong. If you can extract the algo descriptor from more than 32 q/r and write it to reg file. TORO emulator can full working with std/ehn algo query function too.

I have dump with solved endh. algo (your algo descriptors) but with toro emu 1.6 it doesnt work! So i think toros emu cant support std/enh algo. Maybe standard but i dont think ... In your case does it work ?

I haven't test ToRo 1.6 but I run my app with ToRo 1.7 and it can work fine.

I ran my program with TORO 1.7 and my program has random crashes. Here in lies the problem with toro. Some programs may have problems with the hook method of emulating a dongle. I have heard safekey works well but i am still in process of finding a download for the safekey emulator. If anybody has safekey emul plz either PM or post. THX

This emulation is perfect for one of my computers at home, a laptop with no parallel port. But I am running into a couple of snags.

1. Most of the data on my key gets unlocked but other things don’t.
2. If I use version 1.7 I get lest HEX data than if I use the version 2.01 beta.
3. In the read me file it states “my emulator can read dongle data for emulation in 2 mode. at first it check the registry for a data for certain DevelopeID. if not found it search system32 directory to find a XXX.TORO file. XXXX is DeveloperID in hex format.” How do you create the xxx.toro file?

The key unlocks different features of the application. When I use the information I get from the monitor in the emulator only about half of the options I normally have work.

Not that I doubt you, I am trying to understand how the two HEX samples I poster are the same. What is the third column in the second sample?

and did not added it yet in your emulator

The third column is Response32, which is a DWORD returned by the Query function. It is the last 4 bytes of the normal Response string, byte reversed.

As Foffa says, you probably just haven't collected enough Q/R pairs yet to fully emulate the dongle. Have you also added any static cell values as well as Algo Q/R pairs?

2. How can I make sure I am getting them all?

I have a very basic understanding of how to set it up. There wasn't much in the readme file.

I am using the TORO emulator. I have dumped my key. I was able to get the information and utility yesterday. Until then I was using the data from the monitor program version 1.7 and 2.01.

With all the reading I have done it seems to me that all the information that is normally kept on the key can be placed in the registry for the TORO emulator to read. I do not have an understanding of all the information that is needed and how to break it down from a dump file.

Yes I am fairly new at this so I may ask some novice questions but I do like the chalenge this brings.

hello ... please tell me how crack my sentiel dongel.... i had cracked my old dongle vich edge's 2007 emulator.. now i am just trying.. not getting how .... please help me .. i have sentiel ultra pro .. tell me how to dump it ...

Why do you think it is UltraPro? UltraPro key should be dumped with pva dumper without problem (http://nodongle.biz/files/spapi.zip) and dont forgot turn off bruteforcing WP.
If it will not work, i think it is Sentinel SHK.
You can upload image of your dongle so we can try determine real type.

this is the colour of my dongle... please sugess me how to crack it

Sentinel UltraPro should have red color on its label. But i dont know which type should be the one with purple :)
If you want "crack" this app you have to learn how this protection work and then simulate the dongle or patch app to accept anything ;)
You should read at first UltraPro Developers guide (of course only if you have enough basic RE skill).
