Hi there,

My first post as a newbie here...

Been busy for weeks and have read all the tutorials many times and the FAQS.
Tried different ways to get a valid seed/licenses etc but can't get it to work.
I think I have googled half the internet to get more info.

I have a valid license for my current version (4.5) but not for the latest version (5.0), so I dont have a trial license as well.

I tried with (flexlm_7.x-11.4_seed_extraction.zip) to grab the info I need but my asm skills wont do me any good :-(

License server is 11.6.

Tried with ollydbg and IDA, both without success.

I hope someone can help me out here or point me into the right direction.

Thanks

upoload the server to a fileshare and post the link here. I am sure someone will look at it for you. The principles in "flexlm_7.x-11.4_seed_extraction.pdf" should still apply. Can you show me the earlier license, by PM if it has private info?.

@Herby
Make a fake license based on your original license. Then upload the fake license with it's daemon file.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply

Vendor Daemon is uploaded to
http://rapidshare.com/files/282525886/VendorDaemon.zip.html

The working license file contains info which I cant share, it contains company information. (so I stripped the info)

Working license for XenApp 4.5
SERVER this_host HOSTNAME=******** 27000
VENDOR CITRIX options="C:\Program Files (x86)\Citrix\Licensing\MyFiles\CITRIX.opt" PORT=7279
USE_SERVER
INCREMENT MPS_ENT_CCU CITRIX 2009.1231 permanent 5 \
VENDOR_STRING=;LT=Retail;GP=720;CL=ENT,ADV,STD,AST ;SA=1;ODP=0 \
DUP_GROUP=V ISSUED=15-Jan-2009 NOTICE="my company name" SN=*********:****** START=15-jan-2009 \
SIGN="**** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** \
**** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** \
**** **** **** **** **** **** ****"

#[English]
#CITRIXTERM FEATURE 3.0 MPS_STD_CCU EN Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server) Standard|Concurrent User
#CITRIXTERM FEATURE 3.0 MPS_ADV_CCU EN Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server) Advanced|Concurrent User
#CITRIXTERM FEATURE 3.0 MPS_ENT_CCU EN Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server) Enterprise|Concurrent User
#CITRIXTERM FEATURE 3.0 MPS_PLT_CCU EN Citrix XenApp (Presentation Server) Platinum|Concurrent User

I stripped the (same) info for other languages as well (All info is the same except the EN and description is replaced by outher languages)

Thanks in advance.

It is using ECC and it has Vendor Specific stuff. Finding seeds is easy enough, but there is a lot more work to do after that.

But its not impossible though?

Problem for me is that my debugging skills aren't good enough.

I dont even need a unlimited license but one that I can use.
I need it for study and doing exams in a few months.

My company doesnt have a subscription advantage to get the latest release when it comes available.

Xenapp 4.5 (the one I have) is for Server 2003 x86
Xenapp 5 is for server 2008 x64.

you need make a patch for target software and use a old way of the licensing.

You're out of luck then. Unless you want to increase your skills by searching this web site and others, do some research, read some tutorials. If you expect the answers to just be handed to you on a plate you have come to the wrong website.

I understand and expected an answer like that...

Believe me, I tried lots of ways, have read the tutorials, have read this forum and other forums, have googled half the internet....

But for me its just for study, not to get a reverse engineer.

If you can't help me out on this one, then so be it.
I tried, but debugging isnt my thing.

I'll put my energy in my study for this product istead of in reverse engineerimg.

Thanks anyway, and if someone here will help me out thanks in advance, if not..... bad luck for me ill guess.

There are loads of study guides and sample tests (as well as other resources) available online for these exams.
