I think it is because there are too much inline assembler instructions. It need rewrite whole code to pure c/c++ for compiling for x64.

benito - over a year ago I gave him the transcoded asm -> C routines that existed at that time, and in fact he has produced 64 versions ok since. If he is now adding more win32 assembler, only to have to convert it to C then he is very silly. I doubt that is the factor.
others - I will answer any technical questions about MultiKey that I can, as will anybody here with an understanding of it. Please understand that I cannot answer policy question like "where is the 64bit version" because it is not my emulator.

Hi friend,
Thank you for helping to solve the problem. I can not English well, so I write queries using a compiler. I am a layman in this matter. I only know that when I installed multikey version 18.2.2 on win 7 x86, the installation was corretly.One question was whether I want to install unsigned drivers. The x64 version of Win7 control install, but with him a yellow exclamation mark and the application does not work. I have HASP4 the LPT port.Thank for help and nice day.

You have to turnoff each start the driver signing checking or make test certificate, sign the driver and work in test mode. This was discussed here many times, so dont be lazy and use search function.
lukasek

I'm not lazy, I found the test utility, but my antivirus Microsoft essential reports that it contains a virus and deletes it. So I can continue. When I take the registry x64 *. reg file that works well in x86 version, so I do not help a virtual Aladdin HASP not working.

Hello,
yesterday I made a new test and install Win7-Prof x86 then multikey v18.0.3, v18.0.3, v18.2.2 and v18.2.3. Everything works great. Aladdin Hasp key and Aladdin USB key is installed correctly and working very good.Just in WIN7-Prof x64 will not work.I used control MK v18.0.3 for Vista x64.
Very nice day

@lukasek
This emulator, Multikey is a free stuff.
Just wait until the author release the x64 version.
As an alternative, you can use VM with x86 OS intalled as guest
on a x64 host.
My suspicion (and it is only a suspicion) is that there will not be a 64bit version for some time, if at all. All of a sudden a free emulator is wrapped up in the hardest VM protection out there. Why?. At the same time, it also supports some of the more esoteric functions of some of the latest keys. I think he has been given some source code which contains assembler with the provision that it gets protected properly. Shame really, because it is now huge, slow, opaque and Win32 only. Not the way to go IMO.
gnerogeem - The other way round works well if someone is desperate to run a 64 bit app with MK. On a Win32 machine, install VMWare and install Win64 guess OS on VMWare. Make sure you use Bridged networking between the two. Now run 32bit MK on the Win32 machine, and install 64bit Sentinel protection installer on Win64. Make sure 7.5.0 protection installer drivers are installed on both Win32 host and Win64 VM. If you start the emulator on the Win32 host, the Win64 VM guest will now be able to use networked protection via the emulator. Works perfectly with my emul anyway, not tried it with MK. MK hits the driver directly rather than going through the proper route so it may not work.

@Git
Thank you for the tips Git.
Since the new MK only available for x86 version (for now),
I rather use a VM to emulate the dongle with network function disabled
(if your host machine is a x64).
If the target software able to run under x86 machine, install a x86 OS,
install the software and install Multikey in VM.
Just a thought and I'm still newbie.
Cheers. :)

gnerogeem,
Latest version of Multikey refuses to work under Windows Virtual PC. The driver won't start (you can see a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager).
The method described by Git sounds good, but only if you have less than 4 GiB of RAM.
If you have more than 4 GiB, you should not use a 32bit operating system, because you will be wasting the money you spent on the RAM modules.
Regards.

Simply use another VM (VMware, VirtualBox, or maybe Paralels).

Hello Git,
First of all let me thank you for sharing your time with us.
I have 5 different Sentinel dongles to execute 5 different softwares, so I decided to give MK18.2.3 a try in order to free some USB ports.
I've dumped my keys with SSUMD 1.1 and converted the dumps to reg files with dmp2mkey 2.3.
At the beginning everything seemed to be working properly *but* after a couple of minutes one on my softwares quitted all of a sudden, without any warnings.
I have tried several times just to be sure that the problem was caused by the emulation.
I can confirm that every time I use the dongle emulation, the software quits after a random delay (from a few seconds up to a couple of minutes). That never happens with the original dongle, of course.
It seems to me that the software is able to tell emulated dongles from real dongles.
The Sentinel Protection software installed is version 7.6.1.
Any clues?
Thanks.
Silver

reaction to slvrbllt
I have a similar issue:
using:
sentinel protection installer version 7.6.1
multikey version 18.2.3 downloaded on above location
SSUMD.EXE 1.1 as dumptool for the dongle. (integrating the reg file into the registry)
I backup one usb superpro key and can work with the software as before.
another program works with another key and does not work with multikey.
For the first program I can use the emulator (which makes me very happy because I go with the laptop on a hard environment quite often, risk of breaking the dongle or just loosing it.)
For the second program, I removed it from the registry and use the real dongle instead.
I have both dongles in my possesion and just want to use it as "backup" and keep the real keys in a safe.
if somebody is interested in a more detailed description or wants me to run some additional test, I am willing to do it. Please send pm.

@slvrbllt and Frank Hoflack
If it just a SuperPro dongle, why don't you guys just use Multikey version 0.18.0.3 to emulate it?
Dump it with PVA 3.3 and use dmp2mkey to convert the to reg file.
This step always work for me in the past.

Thanks for your replies, guys.
@Frank Hoflack
Your approach does not suite me fine: my software does not work with multikey! :-)
@gnerogeem
I have used 18.0.3 it in the past. It used to work properly until the software has been upgraded to a newer version.
Multikey and many other emulators have stopped working since then. All with the exact same effect: the program quits without any warnings.
As a matter of fact there is just one working emulator (single dongle) floating around for this software. It uses a weird approach: it comes with 2 files (wsock32.dll and hooksent.dll) to be copied on the program's directory. When it runs, no other dongle is seen by the software but the emulated one, no matter if there still are other dongles attached to the system.
This makes me think that the protected software has a fake key detection countermeasure in place (maybe it detects that the dongle is not connected to any phisical USB hub ?)
Unfortunately that emulator comes with it's own dongle serial number and related activation code. I am not willing to pirate the software: I own a legit copy and I want to use it!
I am just fed up with inserting and removing dongles from the PC over and over and over...
Silver.

Hi, all,
I only need to emulate superpro dongles and tried the instructions on following link:

It worked out for me.
All downloads are available in the same message and instructions are well documented.

I use the same version from safenet as you, most recent one. I do not have this behavior therefore i suggested using this method which uses other drivers, other dumpers and other convertors.

Frank, that is exactly what I've done, and it is clearly stated on my message when I say that "Multikey and many other emulators have stopped working" since when the protected software has been updated to a newer version.
No matter what emu, dumper, converter, etc, I use the software detects the fake dongle and quits all of a sudden.
I have tried everything else, before posting here a help request!
Have I been more clear this time ? :-)
Cheers.

I understand you :p , to disable or enable a System Device in command-line, you need to use devcon.exe, find it in the installation folder Multikey

@devcon disable root\multikey
@pause
Enable.cmd
@devcon enable root\multikey

That's all. ;)

easiest way to remove mkey driver installation, drivers installed for sentinel or hasp and do a reinstallation
HASP or sentinel drivers removal should be easy though
add remove programs --> search for hasp/sentinel drivers and uninstall
Note: for sentinel you can use this tool here SSD cleanup, also latest sentinel drivers are available
http://www.safenet-inc.com/support_and_downloads/download_drivers/sentinel_drivers.aspx
on uninstall mkey, you can either double click remove.bat in mkey folder (but sometimes it dont work if for any reason you have some problems especially if vusbus as well is installed)
so you can go to device manager --> expand system devices --> look for virtual USB multikey and uninstall
then go to system32 --> drivers --> and look for multikey .sys and delete it
Restart and reinstall again

Hello, I need an advice, as I am not sure if it is possible or not. I did install successfully MK V.18.2.3 on WXP SP3, and was able to run using the dump without any trouble the software which is protected by an Aladdin USB key.
Since a new version of the software was available, I installed it, ad tried to use it. Unfortunately, at a point it seems that it does not anymore detect the dump / MK pair, and it says no dongle connected.
It seems to me that it looks on the current path REG, and I was thinking if by changing the REG path of the dumps it could work ?
If any one as a better idea, it is more than welcome.
