View Full Version : Who uses DNGuard?
Hi all,
After reading bball0002's advertising for DNGuard here (http://reteam.org/board/showpost.php?p=20709&postcount=6) and here (http://reteam.org/board/showpost.php?p=20302&postcount=2), I wanted to take a look at it.
Trial version is total crap and it is trivial to make a static unpacker for it. Therefore, I tried to find a program that uses full version of DNGuard. I've googled for hours and haven't found a single one. I don't read Chinese, though.
So, if anyone of you knows a program that uses full version DNGuard or can make an unpackme with full version of DNGuard 3.x, please, please let me know.. ;)
Thanks in advance,
kao.

Hi kao
I also tried in the past to find a full version of it but never found one !
It looks like this is a new kind of protection, I mean to make it impossible for people to study it by making sure no one uses it :D
prolly a bad joke.

Kao, I wasn't advertising DnGuard to make them money, I was requesting that people use it because I tried cracking one of their apps protected with the full version, and I couldn't do it. Glad to see you're making assumptions when you haven't even seen the full version of the app.
The trial version is shit because it leaves some of the IL code in memory, and it's simple to get that IL in memory and restore it. On the other hand, the full (enterprise) version leaves no IL in memory, and I haven't been able to restore the target exe I was working with.
I can post a crackme protected with the enterprise version in a little bit. My friend purchased it and I haven't seen his app touched in over 8 months. Feel free to state your opinion about the app after trying a real crackme, but don't make assumptions that I was "advertising".

Trial version is total crapIt's a trial, just like say CLISecure's Lite or whatever, it is going to be bad.
I also tried in the past to find a full version of it but never found one !I know of one application that does use the full HVM version of this protector quite successfully.
Considering that no information has been posted about it anywhere whilst tons of information has been posted about CLISecure and MaxToCode, it can only be assumed that it must be doing something correctly, if simply because it's sheer obscurity as it has been mentioned.
Just sayin'.
Thanks for the responses! :)
@bball0002: I don't want to make any assumptions - therefore I'm asking for any app/crackme protected with full version. If you could make that crackme, I'd be really grateful.
@vb_master: could you tell me the name/url for that software? It's for research only, crack or patch won't be released into public. Feel free to use PM if you prefer.

could you tell me the name/url for that software?Seeing that the unpackme has been posted, you shouldn't need that info. Should be interesting to see how well this protection fares...
