aladdin hasp dump (Bin to dng)

Hello people, I wonder if anyone may be able to help me?

I am trying to emulate an aladdin hardlock key for backup purposes :)

I used HASPHL2007 from EDGE to create a BIN file via DUMPER option.

Then I loaded this file into edgehasp.exe (HASP HL tab)
As I don't have any DNG files and I suppose it should be created by the exe, I set a target DUMP.DNG file name.

Then I hit the SOLVE button.

It says

Reading...
Decrypting...
Solving...

and is stuck from this point after. I waited for hours and the dng files remained at 0 bytes.

Can any of you clever people give me any guidance, or if I post a link to my dumped bin file, do you think anyone could change it to the dng file I need to enable me to emulate the hardlock?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou for your help, I have found and downloaded hldump 2.1, but I am unable to find H224.exe anywhere to solve my dump.

I dont suppose anyone has a link?

H224.exe is attached here twice. On it's own and as inside an archive called NY.zip (or rar). Learn to use the search.

Thankyou for your replies, but I am still stuck.

I have searched for over an hour now to find h224.exe and also ny.rar. I maybe looking in the wrong place. I have found many people speaking of the file, but no actual download location.

I found other helpfull info from "Git", which will almost certainly help when I find the tools......

I think most people now would recommend you use a virtual USB bus emulator rather than haspemul and the Edge tools. Search here and find hl_dump.exe to make a dump of the dongle, it will make 2 files, a .DAT and a .REG. Find H224.exe (uploaded yesterday) and run it on the .DAT. It will produce a .fst file, but more important as the three Seed values which it will report in the command shell. Make a note of them. Open the original .REG file and take a note of the hardlock ID/serial. Download MultiKey 18.0.3. You now have all you need to make a vusb emulator. Have a look at the example .reg files that come with MultiKey. Create your own .reg file (not to be confused with .REG above!) from the Seeds and the serial ID. IF your hardlock has memory data, it can be extracted from the .fst file, or it may be easier to use UniDmp2Reg to create a starting .reg file. Once your .reg file is finished, run it to enter it into the registry and then install MultiKey. If you have to make any changes to the .reg file, remember to enter it into the registry and also to restart the emulator.

Well, I just found both of them with Search in 2 seconds!

Click on Search, type in H224 and hit return. You will see a list of posts. Some of them have a paperclip symbol to show they have attachments. Look down the list for the third post which has a paperclip. Click on the paperclip and a list of attachments to that thread is shown. One of them is NY.7z.zip and another is H224.zip. Take your pick. The thread you want is called "Problems with dmp2ssp..."

Hi again,

I am still struggling...

I have successfully dumped my dongle, and I have my .DAT and .REG file, But, I cant fathom how to use H224.exe, if I try to run it I just see a flash of dos and then nothing. I tried to drop the .DAT into it, and it just displays a dos screen saying "Finished". But no .fst file has been created.

I have trawled the forums, but I cannot seem to get around this...

Any help would be much appreciated.

It is a command line program, have you really never seen or heard of command line?. Start -> Run -> type in cmd.exe and hit return

You now have a black window into which you can type commands. Put H224.exe and your dumps in the same directory, let's say it is C:\dumps.

In the command line type : ( <return> means hit the return key)

> C: <return>
> cd dumps <return>
> H224 dump.DAT <return>
>
It will now show you a list a Seeds. Look at examples of hardlock reg files in MultiKey, copy one, and put your Modad and Seeds in it. The rest of the information is in this forum so SEARCH. If you cannot do it from there then you are batting in the wrong league.

I have re-downloaded h224...but I always get the same thing.."finished"

But, It does not even out put seed values...Im clueless

Where did I say in this thread anything about it making a file?. I was deliberately trying to take things one step at a time as you seem to have so much trouble understanding. As bfox says, show us the dump, it may be corrupt.

open another. reg)**) and change data from .reg of .rar ,and delete "seeds" and "ID"
change "ID" with reg in compressed. rar
hl_solver for solver real seeds , h224.exe not solve? why? I do not know

Thanks for the help, you know the software I am trying to emulate :-)

I can't find HL_Solver attached in any other forums???

Have I got this right....

First I take any example.reg, and replace all the details with the details from my dumped.reg....

I get the seeds from HL_Solver...to also add to example.reg......

Then I double click my all edited example.reg file and say "yes, add to registry"......

Then install multikey and do something with that....not sure what because I haven't got that far....

and then my program will work without the dongle?

Does all of that sound about right?

the reg that is made as a pair (*.REG and *.DAT) is not the same as a vusb emulator reg. The first part is just about usable but the very larger EDStruct is historic and not used. The one you don't want normally has the .REG in upper case.

So iv followed everything you've advised, and added the .reg info to my registry as you pasted (I did also put my ID in the .reg)

I then installed multikey, and it said the driver was successfully installed.

I then tried to load my program, but it didn't work?

Any ideas

Hello again,

I still never managed to solve this mystery, I have v7.7...i don't suppose we cud exchange copies? maybe it will make a difference with 7.6?

I have installed multikey 32...I am running windows xp 32bit (Obviously).

I run the install.cmd...and have added my 191D.reg to the registry, but when the program loads, it is in read only.

If anyone can figure what I am doing wrong, I would be grateful of any help...

Not sure if this will make a difference, I have installed multikey 18.0.2, I cant find 18.0.3 attached in any of the forums.

Also I have tried restart.cmd, and also re-tried install.cmd, but they just freeze now with an empty dos box. The first time I ran install.cmd, it said drivers installed correctly.

Do I need to run multikey everytime I restart the computer, or is it always running now I have installed it?
