17th Working Conference on Reverse Engineering (WCRE 2010)
October 13 – 16, 2010
Boston’s North Shore, Beverly, Massachusetts

*** EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 13th, 2010. ***

OVERVIEW

WCRE is the premier research conference on the theory and practice of recovering information from existing software and systems. The working conference explores innovative methods of extracting the many kinds of information that can be recovered from software, software engineering documents, and systems artifacts, and examines innovative ways of using this information in system renovation and program understanding.

It will be held this year at Boston, Massachusetts October 13-16 2010. You will be welcome to this international conference sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and featuring key people in the reengineering field.

This 17th edition will feature presentations of technical papers, industrial experience reports, workshops and a doctoral symposium. Original and significant work will be presented on topics such as the mining of software repositories, program comprehension, dynamic analysis, software evolution, reverse engineering and security, architecture recovery, remodularization and reengineering and clone detection.

The event will host several workshops, with a tradition of lively discussion, including PCODA2010 (the 5th International Workshop on Program Comprehension through Dynamic Analysis), MUD2010 (the Workshop on Mining Unstructured Data). The doctoral symposium will be the occasion for junior researchers to present their work and for attendants to get a view of future research trends.

Finally, the social events such as the dinners and the scheduled ferry trip to Boston will provide opportunities for senior and junior researchers (or practitioners) to mingle and possibly establish fruitful connections.
