Newbie tutorials

i've just started reverse engineering and you could say i'm pretty clueless but i suppose you have to start somewhere. The problem i'm finding is that all the tutorials and essays i keep finding are for basic windows programming where it shows the searching for certain elements in a disassembler but eventhough they show the basics it's difficult to actually use the information because the majority of programs today are modified to stop this and probably a hundred other techniques and so if anyone has recent tutorials or essays please send me the links to them.

Go to h**p://tutorials.accessroot.com/. Put beginner in the search box. When it comes to finding the targets go to the forum and ask for help. Someone there has saved them older versions. There should be a series of about 10 tutorials, each building on the previous one.
