i have been in the field of game hacking with olly and CE trainers for some time, but i want to move onto keygens and i was wondering where to start, ive already tried some keygenme's but i got stuck at a section in olly where the guy was talking about adresses i couldnt see.. anyway, i was wondering if there was a good starter thread, site or tutorial for noobies

If you mean that the addresses shown in the tutorials do not match what you see in your machine, that is perfectly normal, as long as the code you see is correct.

Furthermore, here's an analogy to the tutorials and addresses...

1. Imagine you are going to the most hot and happening disco in the city with your girlfriend.
2. You read the rule book for the disco. It says that a jacket is compulsory.

What do you do? You wear a jacket and go.

The point is: You are more interested in wearing a jacket to gain entry into the disco, not the COLOR of the jacket (it can be white, black, navy blue, biege etc.)

Its the same in cracking: The tutorial is the rule book. The jacket is the code. The color is the address codes. Address codes are not important as long as your code is correct.

Of course, if you consistently find code not being the same as one mentioned in the tutorials (as opposed to the address), then write specifically about the problem and everyone here will help you take it further
