Hey there -- I recently acquired a VERY cheap thermal printer (an Ameriphone Q90D) from the local Goodwill. According to the documentation I've scrounged up, it looks like it works with a standard Centronics interface -- it's designed to work with a TTY that uses a Centronics printer. However, it uses a non-standard cable; it's 20 pins (2 rows of 10), which means that not every pin of a standard Centronics connector is used.
Now, I could get a cable for a whopping $20, but it would be WAY more fun to put something together. Can anyone recommend how I can figure out what pins go where to hack together my own cable?
