Hello.

Softice has been discontinued.

For kernel mode debugging, use WinDbg: http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/deb...ng/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/debugging/default.mspx)

Best regards, sna

The version of SoftICE that came with Compuware Driver Studio 3.2 works fine with WinXP SP2. Have it active right now, even as I type this :-) DriverStudio also has Visual SoftICE, Symbol Loader, Bounds Checker, Driver Workbench, and several other nice utilities (plus good pdf manuals). In fact, from Driver Workbench you can start SoftICE, run Symbol Loader, and do a lot of other fun stuff.

Note: Driver Studio version 3.1 doesn't work under XP sp2.

Yes, some tutos on the web explains how to use SI under windows XP SP2, I highly suggest to run it ONLY under virtual machine.
