I have looked almost everywhere on the internet for a crack for this game, but one has not been found. The trial only allows you to play for up to 6 months game-time, after that the trial is over. It seems that eLicense is hard to crack, for this game anyway. Even the torrents don't work because only the registration screen, which comes up when you open the game, was removed and not the time limit.
I found this tutorial on how to unwrap eLicense: http://www.reversing.be/article.php?story=20060717121012208
I was wondering if this tutorial would unlock the time limit in the game.
I also tried using this tutorial myself but ran into some problems. Just so you know, i'm completely new at this :P
Here are a couple of questions:
1. Using Olly and opening elicen40.dll, it says:
place bp on GetProcAddress and run 3 times (then remove bp), return to code
Where do you find GetProcAddress and how do you place a breakpoint on it?
2. Using ImpREC, it says:
enter your OEP=OEP-ImageBase, in my case it is 00005415=02485415-02480000
Where are these numbers derived from and where do you place them in ImpREC?
Since I only got to #2 above, I might have more questions about the tutorial from that point.
Thanks for any help in advance.
P.S. The "Try and Buy Demo" is only 112mb and is fully functional, but needs to be purchased to play for more than 6 months game-time.
