Hardlock Emulation - Need Help

Could experienced user please post COMPLETE instructions for how to Emulate a Hardlock dongle?
I've looked through every threat and not found a solid way to emulate a hardlock dongle with the new 5.2 hardlock driver.
Safekey.. I'm assuming it is the Softkey emulator.. the solver supposedly does not work for hardlock dongles?
FST Files? How do you emulate these? I have heard some users say they can be emulated with the Safekey Emulator since it only loads .dng files.. unless there is another emulator out there besides the Softkey one??
If so, could anybody post a link to the "Safekey Hardlock Emulator"? Haven't found much on google..

you have mixed up softwarekey with safekey, better check your first post again; here is my recommendation for you about hardlock emulation and plz do NOT pm me about sending emuls etc, I never do your homework for you....

There are 3 emulators you can use with hardlock:

1- HaspHL2007/8 from softwarekey with EDGE tool
Hooks hardlock driver and dos hasp/hardlock emulation; since it dos not replaces the driver therefor it can work with the new harlock drivers; this emulator dos not support Flora asic and RUS functions.

2- Hardlock.sys from safekey with Sataron's convertor
Replaces hardlock driver so sometimes protected proggies detect it;

3- VBus based Hardlock emulator with ...... tool
The best emul I have ever seen;

ps: most of those stuff can be found around the web, just search for it...

The work is hard with Hardlock.
It is necessary alone to do emul.
You need these tools for you have success in this undertaking.
1.USB HASP key emulator, based on USB bus driver Chingachguk, Denger2k, tch2000
2.TORO Hardlock monitor v1.6

HASPHL 2007/2008 don't work correct with Hardlock.
Tests is with three а different Hardlocks

This one only supports hasp keys unless you add hardlock emulation routines to it...

1) What do you mean by feeding HASPHL 2007 with the right dng files? Can't I just dump the dongle using HASPHL 2007, run it through the Edge Solver tool, and load it with HASPHL2007?

2) I've only been able to download a Hardlock.sys from Safekey that was created in 2003. Problem is, I can't register for the Exetools forum. Would anybody be so kind to upload a newer Safekey emulator to Rapidshare or email it to me?

3) Confused. You contradicted yourself. If there is an existing VBus.sys emulator and tools for it can someone hook me up with these?

That it might be, but elaborated and specific it is not. What tool do you need for the VBus emulator?

The problem which other and myself are facing is that the Exetools forum is locked up.
I need the following files:

Hi guys,

I am also having a problem with HASPHL2007.exe by EDGE.
As instructed, I downloaded the latest HASP HL driver (ver5.22) from Aladdin website and installed in on my PC. Then, started HASPHL.exe and started the protected software.
When, click on DUMP button, my PC went blue, and the PC restarted. So I didn't manage to get any dump from the USB dongle.
Any comments/suggestion gurus?

p/s: The protected software uses Aladdin's USB HASP HL key (ver2.16, red). Another thing, will the dump process render any bad effect (such as destroy the information within the dongle key, then make it useless?)

The dump will not alter nor damage the dongle in any way.
The blue screen.. try the HASPHL2008.exe created on October 3, 2007..
If that doesn't work, well, there are other HASP HL emulators easily available..


Will some experienced guys post links to the hl_emul.rar or the Hardlock Monitor and Emulator 1.6.rar?

Why is everybody wanting the Safekey emulator?
From my understanding it only emulates the old HL driver.
Is the HASPHL Emulator not a lot easier and better? Considering it emulates the new driver..

Well, seems like you have problem with dumping hardlock not emulating; no problem..dump them with sporaw or safekey's dumper and send me; I'll make dng file so you can test;

P.S: needless to say that for dumping hardlock you may need to wait for 15 min;

this is my link to hl-dump. i used this to make seeds. I got seed 3and seed 1 and 2 were zeros. I made fst and install.bat
once i use it the system halts and restarts.

If tried using hasphl 2008 shows error 19

I have used hasphl 2008 and got error 19

I used hasp2007 with edge tool and got dump and dng. But when i use the protected software i get the error "system date appears to be not ok amay be y2k problem or cmos abttery weak"

I used hl-dump and got dat files and reg and got seeds. I made a fst file and install.bat file. when i run the protected software i get blue screen and the software restars. i am attaching the hl_dump files for your review. can u help me out

I managed to get a dump (.dmp) from HASP HL USB key successfully. I figured there must have been memory problems with my PC, so I disabled/killed almost all applications, which were run during start-up and left it with basic start-up services. :)

So I tried to solve the .dmp file to .dng file using EDGEHASP.exe by using the HASP HL tab. When I clicked on Browse button, it could not detect any .dmp file although I keep it in the same folder as EDGEHASP.exe. Somehow EDGEHASP.exe could not detect the .dmp file. The only way I forced EDGEHASP.exe to pick the file was by typing *.* so that the .dmp file got recognized. Then, specified the output file i.e. .dng file.

Tried to solve it, but EDGEHASP.exe returned error as:
"Wrong filesize for a dump."
Why is that? Please anyone help me. :confused:

It seems that your dongle is actually not a HASP-HL dongle, rather a HASP dongle.
I tried solving your file under the HASP tab and it worked fine.
I don't think I need to attach the dng file, please try it yourself and let us know if you get it working.
If it is a HASP-HL dongle, the edge solver tool can not solve your dump.. you'll have to see if anybody can solve your dump manually or look for another HASP-HL emulator.

Try the 2008 HASPHL. What version of the Safekey emulator are you using? Check the file size of the hardlock.sys in the directory where the Install.bat is located.

thanks for taking a look at my problem. But the physical USB key itself has "HASP (HL)" characters stamped on it. The HL is enveloped by a circle. It's red in color. So I believe it is an HASP-HL USB key. Something like this:

Thanks for the reply. When i use hasphl2008 it show detects the dongle as 5b6f:5111. but when i try to dump it i get the error 19 and it stops. so not able to use it.

the size of hardlock.sys is 24KB (24576) size on disk

Well I'll leave the technical problems to the experienced Engineers here..
But does the software even start with the original dongle?
I'd run a VM(Microsoft Virtual Machine), install another OS, install the software, dump and emulate the dongle, and see if that works?
If it doesn't, well, hopefully some experienced guys here will help you fix it.

Yes it works with the original dongle. I use winxp sp2 on a AMD turion.

During web search i got a idea that windows DEP is causing the problem i diabled it still i get the same proble

I will try this out on a diffrent os with intel processor and will let u know

thanks for looking at my problem. Well I was wondering my reply hasn't appeared yet to respond to yours. Guessed it needs to pass through a moderator first.

Anyway, I was kinda skeptical when you said the Aladdin USB key dump was actually an HASP instead of HASP-HL. Then, I did some checking on the software installation help file. It is confirmed that the protected software used HASP (although the USB key has word "HASP (HL)" stamped on it, and it is red in color). So I had to redo all the works i.e. uninstalled the HASP-HL drivers and installed the latest HASP driver ver. 5.22. Thanks for pointing it out. :)

I managed to get the .dmp file based on the latest HASP driver. Followed the instructions, and managed to solve the .dmp to .dng file. However, I did not quite sure on EDGEHASP.exe's Keygen tab work.
1. Do we require to run the Keygen to fully activate HASPHL2007.exe license?
2. If so, what are the IDs of HaspID that we are required to enter?

I have tried so many configuration such as copying the generated license from EDGEHASP.exe and copied it to HASPHL2007.exe's Emulator tab to activate the license. Of course, it successfully activate the full license of HASPHL2007, yet when I tried to run the protected software (i.e. after load up the .dng file using Dongles tab), it gave error said the following:

before I posted the long message, I did write something to explain what I did that I managed to dump the dongle. I guess the message still not approved yet by Administrator to be posted. Don't know why.
Anyway, what I did was really simple. I figured my machine must have been bloated with a lot of programs running background. Although I have 2GB RAM for WinXP SP2, but my guts feeling telling me that HASPHL2007.exe must have conflicted with one of those programs. So I restarted the PC and killed all unnecessary processes and programs so that the machine became 'light'. Then, I just followed the instruction, and off it went...I got the dump.

thanks for solving my dmp file to dng file. Before you posted your dng file, I also managed to get the dmp solved to dng by myself using EDGEHASP.exe tool. Yet, another problem persisted.
When I cleared the storage (as I load dump previous, because I have loaded with previous dng file, and I wanted to have a new one to be loaded) and re-loaded with the new .dng (be it the one I produced myself or the one came from you), my PC went blue screen. The problem now is persisting. Repeat the processes several times, the PC always went blue screen.
By the way, what do you mean by full license of my software? Are you talking about HASPHL2007.exe? I thought I should use EDGEHASP.exe Keygen tab to generate a full license for HASPHL2007.exe. Yet, the screen is quite confusing. Where can I get info to feed into 'Licensed dongles - ID is HaspID'?

Any ideas gurus?

It took me some times to do a bit of research on dumping NetHASP dongle. I tried your suggestion i.e. using haSploGer 1.71 Xyrurg & sataron, but unfortunately, it gave errors while dumping.
So I turned to HLmon.exe to dump the dongle.
Could you please look at these dump files. The file can be downloaded here:

I've finally received my software and dongle.
I successfully dumped the dongle via HASPHL2008(the 10/3/07 version) and solved it with the edge tool. Then I loaded it in HASPHL2008 and no problems.
However, when I start the software, the following error message comes up: "Invalid License Information".
Note: It is a Hardlock dongle and I am using the newest Hardlock drivers.

Can anybody help me?

Thanks, but exactly that is my problem. I do not know how to do that. I am already using an emulator (hlvdd.ddl file in program folder) and this is workung great. But this one is only limited to one workstation. How can I make an emulator file for an unlimited number of clients. Is it possible to get a simillar File (hlvdd.dll) out of the mentioned dumped Reg. and Dat. Files. Thank you for taking your time to help me.

WoW! I wondered! Nobody still not read manuals.
Exactly, it is not the easiest way to mix both emus.
usb-based emu package contains pair sys/inf. For example wibuvd.sys/wibuvd.inf. Just rename both files (for example, 1.sys/1.inf) and replace all strings "wibuvd.sys" in the 1.inf with "1.sys". Then install and enjoy.

2. I used HL-Solver to get seeds.

You have Hardlock Dongle with Luna, right?
Should be, because HL-Solver returns you the seeds!?

Next step:
Normally you have only execute the install.bat, which is normally content of the hl_emu zip.

This install.bat should stop the hardlock driver, copy the hardlock.sys and the mylock.fst and restart the hardlock driver.
Check this with a text editor.
Sometimes the command to copy the mylock.fst fails or have a different name, so you have to insert the command or rename the file.

After all it should work. If not, post the error.
Common error is a wrong hardlock.sys

PS: You can find these steps in several threats at the forum. So please search befor asking. Many users would not post the same things again and again. Hope you understand that.

After reading several posts, 3 days of troubleshooting and file hunting I was able to figure out how to emulate my USB HL dongle.

Here is everything I did from start to finish. Hope I am able to reach out to someone who is stuck with emulating their dongle.

Community helps you, you help the Community.

1. Close your protected program and disconnect your dongle.

2. Download the link below and unzip it to your desktop. From this point on I will be speaking as if you are at the parent directory of the unzipped file. No confusion! :)

2. Open /Toro Monitor/Toro Aladdin Dongles Monitor.exe
The program will open and no activity should be displayed.

3. Connect your dongle and open your protected program.

4. View the Toro Monitor and look through the information that is being populated.

In that information you should find your MODAD. (example: 1954 (0x7A2) ) Write this information on a piece of paper and close the Monitor.

5. Open up a command prompt (cmd.exe) and navigate to C:\......\Hl-Dump\

type the following:

HL-DUMP.EXE /DUMP "your modad here"

Example:

HL-DUMP.EXE /DUMP 0x7A2

The process of dumping your dongle should begin at this point.

6. After successfully dumping your dongle, you should end up with a .dat and .reg file. (example: 07A2.reg and 07A2.dat)

Close the command prompt and add the .reg file to your registry.

7. Create a folder under C:\

c:\trial_solver_directory_demo_version_only\

After creating the above directory, copy your .dat file into it. (We just created the .dat with HL-dump)

8. Navigate to and open up /HL-Solver/HL-Solver.exe

On the bottom left hand corner you will find a textbox labelled "MODAD"

If your .dat file was named 07A2.dat you would enter 0x7A2 as your MODAD. The same information you wrote down from Toro Monitor.

After entering this information press "Find seeds". If it gives you an error, check your folder name and MODAD entry. Ensure you created the folder above. The name has to be specific, so does the MODAD number.

If it runs without error, "Good Job!" thus far. Let the process finish until it reaches 100% and write down the Seed numbers on a piece of paper.

9. Navigate to and open up /MyLock/mylock_builder.exe

In your path, select the .dat file you created with HL-dump.
Enter the seeds you wrote down and click "Build mylock.fst"
Close the program and find mylock.fst (Should be in the same directory as your .dat file)

Copy mylock.fst to c:\Windows\system32\drivers

10. Navigate to and open up /HL_emul/install.bat

Thank you 1shot1kill! Your step by step was really helpful. I performed the emulation on a vista machine and it worked. The only thing I can add follows:

1. Turn off UAC using msconfig. Reboot.

2. When launching any of the tools you should right-click and choose, 'Run as administrator.'

3. When launching the .bat file within hl_emul, right-click and choose, 'Run as administrator.' (I ran this as admin with UAC still on and received errors. UAC off, it runs perfect.)

I managed to get a dump (.dmp) from HASP NET50 HL USB key successfully.

So I tried to solve the .dmp file to .dng file using EDGEHASP.exe by using the HASP HL tab. When I clicked on Browse button, it could not detect any .dmp file although I keep it in the same folder as EDGEHASP.exe. Somehow EDGEHASP.exe could not detect the .dmp file. The only way I forced EDGEHASP.exe to pick the file was by rename *.dmp to the .bin file . Then, specified the output file i.e. .dng file.

Tried to solve it, but EDGEHASP.exe returned error as:
"Wrong filesize for a dump."
Why is that? Please anyone help me.

It is because the HL in "HASP HL tab" stands for Hardlock, not for HASP HL. Also, edgehasp is for HASPHL2007, not 2008.

It would be much better to dump with H5dmp.exe and use the vusbusb emulator.

Thanks. But the problem is that I can't dump the usb Hasp HL dongle it is not a Hardlock (serial). And with h5dmp you need to know the password of the dongle. Since the dongle is not detected by any loger (Toromonitor and hasploger) I dont know the password. Is there another way to get to the passwords?

They are only two sets of seed candidates. Useful is only one set of these ones.
Allowed features doesnt depend on this seeds.

Hello, i also have a problem emulating my dongle... first of all, i am not able to even dump it. i have tried ALL the tools mentioned in here have restarted my pc several times during the process, have uninstalled, reinstalled many many times the original drivers, and like i said i am not able to dump it. When i start hasploger and run the protected software, it finds the password, seed, and stuff, but it cannot dump it. It reports a Dumping error. I have used all the functions available in the software but this is the only time it requires any interaction from the hasp. I really don't know what else to try. P.S hasploger reports that Dongle memory and FAS memory are filled with 00.

Use the Search facility here and you will find thousands of posts about the EDGE crack for the commercial emulator. Or, better still, use a vusb emulator like MultiKey. You will find even more thousands of posts about that, but only if you look for them.

Using Edge Crack

My bin file is called hl4043.bin so I assume that I tick the Dongle type HASP HL

Then I load the hl4043.bin under HASP HL tab in the "dump file loaction"

Im abit confused what I should have in the "DNG file loaction"
I have just called it HL4043.dng

I run it and it creates the HL4043.dng file

Now I go back into HASPHL2007 and this is where i have trouble loading the dump. Driver is already installed. Then I Load the dump and start the service. It says Full Licence but the program still doesnt work.

Unless I load the date temp file I was sent from backup service and use HASPHL2009 to load his dng file.

(I got the file from backup service 4043.dng that has a date limit on it. This is loaded in via HASPHL2009 and it works but the new file HL4043.dng I created doesnt seem to run on 2009 version)

It shouldn't difficult if you have strong willingness to search and read some posts in this forum about the successor of several people deal with emulating their hardlock dongles.

Even you will take benefit whenever you find and read the successor of member who success emulate another dongles such as hasp4, haspHL Pro, SPro and SSPro.

Hello again. I had great success emulating my Aladdin HL dongle on XP and Vista using the instructions in post #77. It was quite exciting when it all worked so thanks again for that.

Now, my only current hang up is that I must emulate TWO of these same style dongles for it to mean anything to me.

One dongle works for 7 different programs.

The second dongle works for 1 additional program.

In my regular work flow I must have both of them plugged into my windows XP laptop.

In order to emulate both keys simultaneously:

Is multikey what I need?

How do I adapt its usage with the simple instructions in post #77?

I currently have the following tools: HL emul, HL dump, HL solver, MyLock, Toro Monitor.

Any help with emulating multiple keys would be greatly appreciated.

I use hl-dumper and got .dat,reg files. I use solver and fst-builder to get mylock.fst,emulating the hardlock,it works very well,in Windows XP sp3 32bit,now I want to emulator the same gongle in Windows 7 64 bit.What I sould do,Please help me.Thank you in advance.

Hi! SonofabiT I try the .reg file with multikey 18.03 and installed the original driver. In the device manager can find aladdin Hardlock key and aladdin usb key. When I start the software, it shows: Cannot Find Hardlock(0) Please Check Correct Installation. Please help me What I shoud do? Thank you very much!

Thanks for the post 1shot1kill it worked for me on vista. One note though to be able to do it successfully in vista (32 bit) you have to run almost everything as admin:D

Can you please help me with finding proper seeds for Hardlock dongle with Floara asic?
Dumped OK with sp0raw and EDGE dumpers.
Using SafeKey emulator (24k version).
But uniduptoreg's fs0-fs7 keys're not working properly(tried all of them one by one, but i see in haSploGer that emul responding wrong data)
Target software (Seacos MACS3.NET) checks my LPT dongle only on start checking only one function (HardLock_Crypt: Data as far as i can see from haSploGer)
If i knew crypt algo I think could find seeds myself.
But if you post these seeds i'll be very happy;)

I have got mylock.fst from a protected software and the software itself have many licenses, 13 in total in which we only have 7.
My Question is can we edit mylock.fst or DAT or REG file in which we change the "NOT-licensed" to "Licensed" manually?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If the protected software show 'NOT-licensed' status, it's means:
- the emulator works improperly
- the protected software checks something else, for example registry, hardware info, etc.
