Hi everybody,

It's the first time I post here, but I've read your threads from a while. Thanks for all the information I've found here...

I came here because I wanted to emulate an HASP HL dongle which protects VectorWorks 12.5 (a CAD program). I've studied all the related discussions here, I've been looking for the mentioned tools , found some of them, and tried.

At this day, I've tried hasphl2006, 2007, 2008, chingachguk and Glasha's as emulators, edgehasp and edgehasp-mod, unidmp2reg, reg2bin, Glasha's hlmon and h5dmp as dumpers and additional tools. I've been reading the maximum I can find over the net about the subject, and finally it has never worked...

Here's what happens at each time :
- When I start VectorWorks without dongle or with a bad dongle (I tried it), it says that there is no dongle attached, and when you click OK it quits.
- When I try to start it with any of the mentioned emulators (which says all they are ok, with their good dng, reg or whatelse files loaded), at each time, VectorWorks quits without telling nothing, after 2 or 3 seconds of splashscreen. It does it even if the original dongle is inserted.
- after proper uninstallation of the emulators (not so easy with some one...), VectorWorks retrieves its normal behaviour.

I don't really need this emulation. My boss let me take the dongle to home with no problems, I can do my job how I want. Let's say it's just a challenge, and I want to proove to some friends that it's possible to skip commercial emulating solutions.

If someone have some time to help, he'll be welcome. I can send dumps (tell me the dumper you want the dump from), logs or whatelse, and I don't wait for a "magic & easy" solution : I can be active, I just need to be driven a little bit...

Cheers
