First off please forgive my ignorance :) Still quite new and trying to learn as much as I can.

Currently I am working on disassembling a file that has been obfuscated with SmartAssembly (I am pretty sure version 2.0).

I have given smartkill v0.4 and v0.3 a try and neither seem to do the trick.

smartkill v0.4 seems to think that the executable is encoded with 1.xx and it does find a few strings, but they all appear to be squares on the screen. This leads me to believe that it was encoded with unicode characters instead of ASCII.

An example is: 竫㉷餢助険檫⯚ (that's what I get when I copy/paste here, in the actual application they are shown as just squares).

I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but there's also a SmartAssembly.Attributes.dll file within the folder.

Any help anybody can give me on getting this thing decompiled would be great!

Maybe you got a link to check what's what ? :)

I probably should have included that in my first post.

It's a game (Magic the Gathering Online) and yes I know I'm a nerd. Part of their new version 3 that they're bringing out. To download the whole game would be quite a waste for most I'm sure as it's pretty big. Here's the executable and SmartAssembly DLL that came with it.

Thanks in advance for any pointers you can give.

smartkill is useless for this one, coz I can't see any encoded strings. Even no strongname or shit.
