View Full Version : Problems with Sentinel vUSB Emulation

Hello.

First of all, thanks for a great board!

I have some problems with the Sentinel vUSB Emulator. I have used PVA 3.3 to dump my two dongles (I can upload the dmp files if that is any help?) and then converted with f1_nodongle to ssp. After that I have used UniDumpToReg and then edited the Reg files, as mentioned in the how-to thread http://www.reteam.org/board/showthread.php?t=662

But after I have installed vusbus and added the two reg files to the database, the program still aren’t working, and is still asking for the license.

What am I doing wrong? And can someone help me if I provide the dmp file?

dmp file names:
spro_RNBO_SPN_DRIVER_74d1_0.dmp
spro_RNBO_SPN_DRIVER_ea30_0.dmp

Also another question. How do you guys convert from dmp to ssp using f1_nodongle? Do you just drag the dmp file into the exe, and then manually change the file extension to ssp?

convert it in Command-Prompt mode. There was a little mistake at the start of REG file.

where can I get PVA 3.3?

In device manager, the emulator has a yellow exclamation point.

you need to install sentinel orginal driver frist

If you use win 32 bit so:
1.Remove vusbus emulator+registry records and all installed sentinel drivers.
2. Reboot
3. Install downloaded sentinel driver
4. Install vusbbus emulator with example reg, system should find new device and install it.
5. Check in devices that everything ok
6. import your reg's
7. reboot

still no luck.

does it matter what version of the sentinel drivers I have?

I tried 2 workstations, one with 5.4 & another with 7.4. both had yellow exclamation points in device manager

It's working with 7.4 :), but I am not shure soft will work with it.

Safenet USB Superpro\UltraPro

Not sure if it matters, but I'm using a virtual machine for this.

what driver is it suppose to use? sentinel or the vusbus?

update: I just tried my laptop and it worked. It's listed as Rainbow USB Superpro (using 5.41 drivers)
any clue why it will not work on VM?

I needed to add USB on my VM. I got the drivers to install ok.

But it won't take my edited registry. I did the swapping

strange.... I just redid it with wordpad and it's ok...

yippee! now I have to test 2 different dongles from save vendor

since it will be the same vendor, do I just merge sntMemory?

on one of my keys, the ssp file that was generated was not ~100k. When I tried to use with my app, it reads the license, but I get an error. does that mean it didn't read the key right?

for ru-board vusb emule need other path in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE....
open .sys file in hex editor and get unicode path inside.
