Is there a trick to getting HaspLoger to work on Windows 7 X64? Or, is there a newer version floating around that I am not aware of?
Thanks.
Edit:
I also cannot seem to run h5dmp as a workaround.

Hey, BfoX.
I did try USBtrace latest version. I am unable to see any activity picked up from the dongle. I was able to pull the passwords using HASPHL2009, so when I have time, I am going to try to dump with HASP HL Dumper 1.01 and convert with HASP HL Dump Converter. I just don't know if the generated reg file will work with Multikey. I will report back my findings when I have more time.
Thank you for your help.
Search on this BB info for the usb trace logging process

Okay...UsbTrace is working properly after following video instructions found on the board.
I am facing a new problem now.
I had someone generate a dump file (.bin) from their computer, remotely, using HASP HL Dumper 1.01.exe, however, when I take that .bin file and convert it to .reg on my computer using HASP HL Dump Converter.exe, I receive a license error when I try to run the program with his emulated dongle (using his license file).
If I do the same steps, by dumping my dongle, instead, I am able to run the program on my computer using my license file. We are using the same software/dongle, but we both have different license files and Hasp ID's.
I have double checked the license files and reg files to make sure that everything is correct.
I'm not sure why this is happening unless the conversion to .reg needs to happen on his computer...but that doesn't seem likely. Do I need to do the dump and conversion using his dongle from my computer?
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Try dumping by HLMDv1.0. available at testprotect.com
By this dump you can convert the reg file for use with multikey/ or the dumper itself creates the regfile for use with multikey.
or dump by HaspHL2007. convert the dump by edgetool.

skr706-
Thank you.
I tried dumping with HLMD, but I can not get it to work. I believe this is because the dongles that we are working with are Hasp HL time. If there is a way to dump those types with this program, I am unsure how to do it.
I am unable to generate a dump file with HaspHL2007 on Win7 x64. I can dump with HaspHL2009, but I only receive a .dmp file, and Edge appears to require two file types (dump and dng).
I will try running HaspHL2007 with Edge on WinXP when I have more time. I will report back.
Thank you for your help.

Okay, so here is my update.
I ditched the HaspHL method because I just couldn't get that to work.
I finally just had him dump from XP using the original approach. I used H5dmp, UniDumpToReg and multikey.
Hopefully, there will be a hxdmp available for x64 in the future.
By the way, we did not use a virtual environment for XP, but I suppose that would've worked, too.
Thank you both for your help.
Why not try the usb trace!?

I did try. But I was originally only using USBtrace to find hasp passwords. I never tried to emulate a dongle with it from the log files or anything, so I didn't even research that method. Actually, I didn't even think about doing that. I will definitely keep that in mind in the future.
Is the general approach for that method published on this board?
Thanks.
