Nokia 2110i / 2110e / 9000 Cellular Phone Nokia 2110i / 2110e / 9000

The Nokia 2110 FAQ is available from here Nokia 2110 FAQ

To get the IMEI on any GSM phone, enter *#06#

To enable caller id, enter *#30#[SEND] To enable call-blocking, enter *#31#[SEND] Note that the two above options are not yet available in most areas.

To enable display of cell-site names, [MENU] 4 9 1

To find the date code of the firmware, enter *#3283# (* # D A T E *). The last two digits are the year. If the year is 95, then the first two digits are the month. For 96 the first two digits are the week of the year.

To find the software version on the 2110e / 2110i, enter *#170602112302# On newer phones, the code has been changed to *#682371158412125#

The phone should display something similar to this:

V 5.31 software version
06-01-96 date manufactured
NHE-4 model GE8 = 9000?

Supposedly, versions prior to 5.48 had problems, and would reset themselves in the middle of a call.

How do I change the diversion delay?

This is really a network action rather than the phone, but I feel Nokia should have had the facility in the diversion menu to be able to change the delay on Divert On No Answer.

You have to type this at the keypad for it to work.

 Enter : **61*(desired number)*(diversion type)*(diversion delay)#

Desired Number : The number that it will divert to.
Diversion Type : This is the service that will be divered. See table.
Diversion Delay : A delay between 10 and 30 seconds the network will
ring the phone untill it diverts.

  Diversion Code	Service
  --------------------------------------------------------
	10 Divert All Tele-Services
        11 Divert Voice
	12 Divert Data
        13 Divert Fax
	14 Divert Datex-J (What's this??)
16 Divert SMS (Short Message Service)
18 Divert All Data Services Except SMS
19 Divert All Data Services Except SMS
20 Divert All Services (Everything! Data/Voice/SMS etc)
	21 Divert All Asynchronus Services
	22 Divert All Synchronus Services
        23 Divert 3.1kHz Mobiltel. Services
        24 Divert Synchronus Point-to-Point Connections
				including PADs
        25 Divert Asynchronus Point-to-Point Connections
				including PADs
        26 DivertDataPacket including PADs
        27 Divert Services with PAD-Participation
29 Divert Digital Transmission with 128kps

NOTE : Not all servies are available from all Phone Companies

Eg: If you want to divert voice calls to the number 555-6666 after 20
second waiting for the call to be answered, you enter :

        **61*5556666*11*20#

How do I change the "KEYGUARD ACTIVE" text? (sort of)

If you are using the "Welcome Note" you can have it shown instead of the "KEYGUAGE ACTIVE" message. Heres how you do it :

1) Set a Welecome Message. See your Nokia Manual for the steps. Menu Option (9 1)

2) Turn the Phone off then On again. (Enter PIN If required) but do NOT "KEEP" or "ERASE" the welcome note.

3) When the message is shown press a number (0-9).

4) Press the "C" button.

5) Activate the keyguard by pressing MENU then * before the "KEEP"/ "ERASE" message is displayed again.

Now your message is shown instead of the ordinary keyguard message. It's a messy workaround and does realy change the text but it works.

Nokia 8110 Cellular Phones

Software Version: * # 8 1 1 0 # shows software version, date of manufacture, and hardware model number.

SIM-unlock: * # 7 4 6 0 2 5 6 2 5 # is supposed to SIM-unlock the 8110 and the 1610. However, I have heard that some manufacturers base the SIM-unlock code on the actual IMEI (serial Number) of the phone itself, and this code may work only one one specific phone.
