This is a meme machine. It is a machine which makes memes.

LONG DESCRIPTION

I have created a Meme Machine category, for all of your meme needs.

This will serve as a base for gathering and sharing memes. When you need memes, you will come here and get them. They will hopefully be well-organized.

I would like to see every topic posted be meme-topical. Either to a single meme image, or to a meme theme. I would also like to see the bantz kept to a minimum in these threads, so that threads function as an image gallery, rather than being filled up with a bunch of chit-chat.

My preferred place for simple meme-making is the imgur meme-maker.

To edit pics, I use GIMP, a free version of photoshop that isn't complicated and bloated like photoshop.

It's available on Windows, OSX and Linux. It's also very widely used, so there are a lot of tutorials you can Google up.

Wew lads -- feels good to see this category starting up. As someone who spent plenty of time on 8/pol/ and /bmw/ (Bureau of Memetic Warfare) until it got compromised and DS became the obvious choice, I got into the whole meme magic phenomenon but kept my discussions within the community. We can have fruitfull discussions amongst ourselves, but it can be pretty depressing when you return to the (((real world)))...

So here comes the prospect of Twitterkrieg and I'm feeling hopeful about being part of the spread of our memes; I've barely used Twitter, and it sounds like getting banned from Facebook is very common.

My question is, how can people like myself become organized in this current stage of memetic warfare? There is some good advice in this thread about software/meme generation, but navigating the normie webs and knowing the best places and ways to insert our memes/subversion/propaganda is something that should be developed methodically so we can all serve in a great Twitterkrieg and similar operations.
