I once saw a relatively young fat bitch die from heart failure. Her lips were purple, and the areas around the center of her face, nose and mouth where purple, from the lack of oxygen. She sat upright but her head back as she stared into space somewhere beyond the ceiling. She did not blink. That's when I knew she was a gonner, no blinking of the eyes for upwards of ten minutes or more. Just faint breathing. All I could do was stand there and watch her die and felt nothing in the way of remorse for having done so. The fact that the ambulance crew could not lift her into the ambulance is enough said. All anyone could say about the matter was "What can you say about it, it was coming?"
