Fate Zero is way better than Stay Night in my opinion; it definitely gets my recommendation.
But Apocrypha is supposed to have a Servant character who was Vlad the Impaler in a past life, and the villains are Romanians for some reason. I thought that sounded right up your alley.

If you like thrillers, you might want to try Shiki or Gankutsuou.
Although both of those also take a little while to get really good. Gankutsuou picks up a lot about halfway through, and it's totally worth it.

The only reason Goku doesn't kill people is because he wants to fight them later, not because of some morality shit. Plus, he killed Piccolo Daimao when he was a child and Majin Buu at the end of the series.

Most anime today is not for me, more specifically I feel it has gone drastically downhill over time in terms of quality of artistry and story. This could just be a case of my personal bias against the rise of fugly, choppy CGI but it does seem like in terms of thematic variety, things have gotten stale.
Having said that the back catalogue contains many masterpieces, the cream of the crop coming from the pre CGI era. Sometimes there is something decent and/or great in terms of new works. Gundam Thunderbolt: December Sky springs to mind as something recent that impressed me greatly, just relentlessly dark and gritty and beautifully animated. Also One Punch Man was off the chain, really funny shit, satirizing super heroes vastly better than any of the faggy American movie attempts to do the same.
My clear favourite in terms of standalone movies from the post 2000 years is the utterly astounding Redline. Just an unmatched artistic achievement which was so influential to me personally that much of my own ink based art is stylistically similar. Takeshi Koike represents the creative pinnacle of what anime should be but seldom is, due to both human and budgetary constraints. I can't really think of any other contemporary directors who are anything special and the old guard seem to have given up or lost interest. Redline is on youtube dubbed but find a torrent and watch it subtitled, don't be a philistine.
One Punch Man is great.
The anime was so awesome that I started reading the manga, and check for new releases / translations somewhat frequently.

I would actually argue that the opposite is true and it's immoral to let enemies live that could come back and harm you or your loved ones in the future. This was a recurring theme with Kurama's character in Yu Yu Hakusho, and one of the things I really liked about that cartoon.
I watch dubbed anime because of this.
Anime characters are White.

The only time I watch something subbed is if I have to (because it's not released in America dubbed or whatever.) or if the dub flat-out sucks (as is the case with Yu Yu Hakusho, and One Piece.)
I get that you say we should watch things as the art is originally intended.... but some people enjoy hearing it in their own language.
I don't think Japanese people watch Anime in English dub with Japanese subtitles do they?

I don't watch everything dubbed, but I don't watch everything subbed either.
There's some stuff that is good dubbed, it's not like the 90's when you grew up, and all "dubs" sucked. In the 2010s and 2000s most dubs are pretty good.
My Generation (Generation Z) tends to watch a lot of good dubs, versus your generation (I'm assuming your a Millennial) which watched shit dubs so you had to resort to subs.
I'm just saying.
