I figure Bannon just became part of Trump’s “Kitchen Cabinet”. It happens all the time. People leave Trump’s direct employment to become far more effective somewhere else, while remaining in touch with him. Roger Stone left the campaign early on, and probably did more effective work on the outside.
Hell, with Bannon back, Breitbart might actually be worth reading again.

I’m not sure which scenario would be preferable. If Trump fired (or at least that everyone believed that is what happened), then it could award him some media points.

This is now pretty much the only website of any relevance to the future of the white race. Obviously others were taken down and still not back up like RedIce and Vanguard, but this is the one they truly wanted and the only one back up. All the jews/feds and anyone looking to get a handle on where this is going will all be lurking here 24/7.

I mean even with the help of his research team he still thoroughly looks into all the material he mentions on his show. He constantly calls out the exaggeration from the left when they call someone a “Nazi” or racist.
So that alone would be enough for him to visit the site. He clearly gave a nod to Vdare (which has been named a “white supremacist” website multiple times). So the fact that he didn’t do the same for DS means he’s actually visited & witnessed the atmosphere.
He probably figured he could use the DS as a similar example as Vdare but obviously he couldn’t. To avoid all complications, he says he knows nothing about this site but continues to use it as a tool for defending free speech.
