A western Indiana jury has convicted a Terre Haute man in the slaying of his estranged wife, whose remains were found dumped in a rural area.

The Vigo County jurors deliberated about eight hours Saturday before finding 40-year-old Enzert Lewis guilty of murder, obstruction of justice and altering the scene of a death.

The Tribune-Star reports that Lewis will be sentenced Feb. 17 on the charges stemming from the October 2012 killing of 39-year-old Allyson Elmi-Lewis.
