Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a registered sex offender suspected of aggravated assault and the attempted sexual assault of a child in Swissvale, police said Thursday.

Clayton Sudduth, 28, is accused of trying to sexually assault the 6-year-old daughter of a woman who he bludgeoned with a frying pan, according to Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers.

The 28-year-old woman suffered severe head trauma and a brain concussion, police said.
