I don’t usually talk to computers, but the one time I did he said: “if you’re on the train and they say ‘portal bridge,’ you know you’d better make other plans.”
I nodded solemnly and continued to carry on.
That's what I thought I was hearing but it didn't make any sense. Now that I see it written down, the grammar makes sense but it's like the words don't mean anything

I’m pretty sure his writers were trying to make a joke that the locals would know.
