Police have made an arrest in connection with a homicide at a Food Lion in Longs earlier this month, as well as several other crimes across Horry County.
James Laverne Bellamy, of Tabor City, North Carolina, was arrested by United States Marshals and Horry County Police Department Robbery/Homicide Detectives in Fair Bluff, North Carolina on Wednesday, according to John Harrelson with the HCPD.
The Marshals Taskforce took him into custody without incident and will extradite him back to Horry County to face charges, Harrelson says. Charges include one count of murder, two counts possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of armed robbery, and three counts of kidnapping.
