A 47-year-old immigrant was arrested for rape in central Södertälje on Saturday. The rape took place in a park by the canal before a large number of witnesses.

“We have held 13 witness hearings, it says something about the extent of how many people have witnessed this,” says Johan Siverland, investigator at the Södertalje Police, to SVT.
Otherwise, the police do not want to comment on the incident.

On Monday, a man was arrested for the rape.

According to the arrest request, this is a 47-year-old man who needs an interpreter in Arabic.
He has previously been convicted of, among other things, violations of the knife law, drug offenses, drunk driving and unlawful driving, according to Aftonbladet.
