First, I am not looking to cause an arguement, but simply wanted to respond to some misinformation which you posted about Glenn's apparent misinformation. I am not a friend of Mr. Campbell's, so don't feel this is a "defense" of some sort; I'm simply looking at some logical points which you seem to ignore. 1) I have read every Desert Rat newsletter, and nowhere in there has Mr. Campbell ever claimed to be a "self appointed expert", as you say. Those are your words, so I don't know if you are simply jealous of his work or what... 2) Mr. Campbell moved to Rachel one year ahead of you, and a person can learn a lot in a year. Perhaps he does have more Area- 51 experience than you. (Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not convined otherwise; see #3, below). 3) Your Area-51 "handbook" is a direct look-and-feel copy of Mr. Campbell's, which -- again -- was published long before your material hit the streets. Couldn't you at least devise a more original format? 4) Mr. Campbell is essentially retired, having sold his computer software business for a substantial profit. He doesn't have to work, and can fund all his own projects. I would say that business success equals intelligence (or at the very least; "Rich + Retired" = "Smart"). 5) As far as military or technical background goes; what do you have, and does it really matter anyway? Certainly observing and collecting UFO data can be done by anyone -- technical or military training notwithstanding. 6) I have also been involved in photography for over 30 years, and I do not profess to know everything about the field as you seem to. Unless you are on OPTICS (not merely film) expert, and can convince me otherwise, I feel those "mailbox photos" by Ms. Ford are fakes. Eyes Up! - Don Kenny (dkenny@ix.netcom.com)
