The _thing_ we saw in the midnight sky over the southern
Nevada desert, looked at first to be a geo-synchronous
satellite (although it seemed to be too far north in the
sky), it blinked on and off, the rate between flashes was 6
to 15 seconds, timed by X's very accurate [not!] counting of
"one thousand and one, one thousand and two", etc.

We were getting ready to dismiss this as a satellite, when X
announced it had moved, The Minister and I looked and sure
enough it had, then it moved in the other direction, it
continued to move back and forth in the sky for another 10 to
15 minutes, blinking on and off and then it promptly
disappeared.

We sighted many low earth orbit satellites, these looked to
be traveling below our object.  Taking into account it's
apparent altitude, and the distance it moved back and forth,
we were forced to classify it as a true Celestial Anomaly.

Then again it could have been a UFO, it did appear to be
flying, and I couldn't identify it. (I can't believe I said
that !)
