Surely an unspecified stop should be fairly safe, assuming that you are not
travelling any regular route, and that the protectee is not instantly 
recognisable, and that you are happy that you have not been followed.

If you think that it's a genuine risk, then I would think that you need to 
explain as forcefully as necessary what the risk is.
