I am not a 'professional PSA', but I know that I would advise anyone in that
situation, to ABSOLUTELY refuse the job, or better still, take the job,
subject to the protectee taking an appropriate firearms course, and having
them commit to on-going practice and training.

I would have thought that if someone were worried enough about their own 
personal safety to be carrying.  Then they should be more than willing to
invest a little time and effort in improving their skill level (as well as
their survival chances).
