 Rally in Washington?  March on the State House?  Why bother? Let's let our
fingers do the marching!  The WORLD'S FIRST electronic protest march will
take  place on Wednesday 19 April 1989 from 9:00am EST until 4:00pm PST.
What are we  protesting?  We are protesting the erosion of the Bill of Rights
and the Second  Amendment in particular.  Who are we?  We are EVERY
law-abiding gun owner in the  United States of America!

 How will this work?  Our campaign, known as LET FREEDOM RING '89, consists
of  ringing the phone of every legislator, every chief executive, at all
levels, and  telling them that we will NO LONGER BE SILENT on the issue of
creeping gun  control, that we are in favor of punishing criminals who use
guns, not  households who have guns.  In addition we are going to write
letters to these  same legislators expressing our views. Mail these letters
out on 19 April 1989.   We are doing this for pro-gun as well as anti-gun
legislators because it will  let the pro-gun people know we are behind them
100% and it will tell the  anti-gun people that they are on the wrong side of
the gun control issue.

 What can YOU do?  You can join us.  You can galvanize your membership into
action to join us.  You can ask the leaders of other organizations that are
fighting for the same cause to join us, and to ask their members to join us.
In  numbers there will be strength, and OUR VOICES, raised in unison, WILL BE
HEARD!

 The gun owners of America have been silent for too long as OUR RIGHT to keep
and  bear arms has been steadily attacked. We have one more chance to have
our voices  heard before they will be silent forever.

                            Let's GET THE WORD OUT!

 Your immediate action is needed.  You are among the first to hear about
this, so  your help in spreading the word is needed.  This will be a grass
roots movement,  not one that will be driven from the top down.  But we must
use the mechanisms  in place --- our local rod and gun clubs, our state
firearms organizations, and  the NRA, CCRKBA, Firearms Coalition, etcetera.
Make a copy of this note and  mail  it to the director/president of any group
that you are a member of.  Post  it up at your club.  Get it on the agenda.

 We must move fast.  So let's not pigeonhole it, rathole it, buttonhole it,
or  leave it for somebody else to do.  Let's DO IT...   TODAY!
