RE FLY TENTS:
 A very good way to set up a fly 'tent' is to get a square tarp and
support it high in two opposite corners and low in the other two.
Stretch it tight so that you get a 'saddle' curve in it. It looks
strange but it sheds water to the low corners without creating puddles
on top that will fill up and collapse the structure. It will not flap
"like a tarp in the wind" because of its aerodynamic shape which also
helps to direct cooling breezes under it. This sort of thing works great
when you have a small fire under it since it helps clear the smoke out.
The smoke will rise to the high corners on a still day and with a small
breeze will follow the air flow out the same way. This is not my
invention, the Arabs did this for thousands of years!
