Manufacturers have been known to change their usage of pins, please compare diagrams shown with the product's manual. Pins not shown may be used for other functions. Damage may occur if wrong connections are made.
Pins are labeled with the number of the pin, followed by the descriptive name used in Chapter 5 of What is your TNC doing?
DR610T, DR150T (See Note 2)
9600 Data Jack (2.5 mm stereo)
Ring of plug - Receive Signal
Tip of plug - Transmit Signal
Sleeve of plug - Ground
PTT Jack (3.5 mm mono) SP1 (See Notes 2, 3, and 4)
Tip of plug - PTT Signal
Sleeve of plug - Ground
Note: 1 The data jack may require a high output drive level from the TNC.
Note: 2 Models like the DR150T use the 2.5 plug wiring, but have PTT and Ground wired to the front-panel 8-pin mic connector.
Note: 3 The radio may need to be put into 9600 baud (bps) packet mode to activate the PTT on this plug (which is different than the PTT on the mic connector). Refer to the radio's manual for information.
Note: 4 Some Alinco manuals have the PTT wiring information printed incorrectly.
