HK-21 Pocket Packet
When looking at connector with cable towards you and locking mechanism up:
Left Pin - Ground
Left-Center Pin - Receive Signal
Right-Center Pin - Transmit Signal
Right Pin - PTT
This connector is the same as the connector used to connect a telephone handset to a telephone.
HK-21 Pocket Packet
Speaker Plug (3.5 mm mono) to SP. IN Jack
Tip of plug - Receive Signal
Sleeve of plug - Ground
HK-21 Pocket Packet
MIC/PTT Plug (2.5 mm mono) to MIC/PTT Jack
Tip of plug - Transmit Signal
Tip of plug - PTT
Sleeve of plug - Ground
The MIC/PTT jack expects the PTT and Transmit signals to both be wired to one pin on the radio (like many hand-held radios). The capacitors and resistors shown on the hand-held radio diagram pages will probably not be needed.
