brainscan v0.0 readme.txt
yeah.

dont get it confused with any wetware release or anything, I called it
brainscan because well, using cell phones and brain tumors are linked
(at least, definitely in my mind. when my frs radio tells me its safe
as long as I keep it an inch away from my head, I get a little cautious
and you should too.) and scan, because well, it helps you scan for cell
phone conversations. actually, it doesn't. however, it will help you
maintain conversations you've already found. This is, of course, using
an old motorola phone in testmode and stuff.. I heard you could do that
or something. To use this, just run it from your palmpilot, click on
the text box, and input the hex digits representing the new channel the
conversation has jumped to. To get these digits, while listening to
a conversation with the audio unmuted, hit 40#. then when the conversation
blips, 10 hex digits will appear. if you have a real old phone, the first
three disappear. doesn't matter. start at the 6th last digit from the
right (2nd digit from the left on 7-char displays), and use that digit
and the following two. This three digit code represents the new channel
you have to jump to. Click to the right of the little prompt in the
program, graffiti these digits in without spaces or anything, and the
new channel will pop up. yeah.

I didn't figure this out, I read a file somewhere on the net by
an anonymous person, it was called followcc.txt. if you know who
wrote it (and don't just say you wrote it, because I'm likely to
first believe you, then hunt you down when someone tells me you
lied.)

oh, and don't run the calculate button without inputting anything. I didn't
check for null values and your palm will crash. why? because this is
version 0.0 and I didn't feel like recompiling. have fun.
