Users of the internet in Croatia are fed up with high access rates and
have planned an internet strike for April 24, 1999. Following in the
footsteps of several European countries who have stood up against high
internet tariffs the group DOSTA! has organized one day of no internet
use. It is hoped that this action will convince HiNet, Croatia's only
ISP, to reduce internet access charges from $100 a month for two hours a
day to a more reasonable level.
