contributed by tetricycle
Some people are saying that CIH has totally wiped them out. Others are saying that they have not seen even one incident. The media seems to be in the middle and isn't sure what to report. If you are infected the devastation is sure to be total.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Infected toll reaches 540,000 as Korea and Turkey are hit hardest. Did piracy help it spread?
ZD Net

Asia and Europe hit hard, US escapes.
MSNBC

Asia, Middle East, and US hit hard
Nando Times

Australia Hit with 540 reported cases.
ZD Net Australia

On the trail of the CIH author and why he or she will never be found.
ZD Net

  CERT the Good Guys?

contributed by turtlex

While CERT does try lets not forget that they are in bed with the vendors are usually several months late with advisories. This article ignores all of that and labels them as "the users last hope".

Mainstream media is actually publishing a positive and accurate story about hackers. Better read it quick before they pull it and come to their senses.

Cold Fusion holes are still out there and still being exploited. We will probably see a lot in the next few days as lazy admins fail to heed the warning and patch their systems. The following have been reported as cracked some a result of the Cold Fusion hole.
