TRON, a brilliant European hacker who created the first of the so called 'miracle cards' and small low-cost telephone scrambling devices, has been found dead in a park in Berlin, Germany. Officials are calling the death a suicide. Fellow members of the Chaos Computer Club are shocked and saddened about his untimely death but are wondering if in fact this was a suicide.

AOL makes a big screw up after delivering thousands and thousands of CD-ROMS with the login password of POGROM-GULLED. The Random House Webster's Unabridged Electronic Dictionary says a pogrom is "an organized massacre, esp. of Jews", and the verb "gull" means "to deceive, trick, or cheat. AOL is investigating.
