Congratulations on acquiring "Foreign Exchange" for Palm III or Palm V

____Installation

 - New Installation. (Using HotSync)

Install the "ForEx.prc" file by using the install
application that is included with your Pilot Desktop software.  

Please follow the underlisted steps to install any Palm Pilot application 
(<filename>.prc )or (<filename>.pdb ) OR refer to your Palm Pilot documentation (shipped with the device)

Notes: 

Install the  Pilot Desktop organizing software,shipped orginally with the device,
if you haven't done so yet

You can skip these steps if you are already familiar with installation steps

**************    INSTALLATION STEPS   ************************

1) Go to Pilot Desktop organizing software, shipped orginally with the device.
	(Tip : Look for an icon Palm Desktop)

2) Start the Palm Install tool.
 
3) Click "Add" to browse and select the downloaded application.

4) Click "Done".

5) Place the Palm Device in the cradle.

6) Press the HotSync button on the Palm Pilot.

	..............	the application will get transferred and is ready to use.



____Registration of the software

The program can be easily registered online at our website "www.palmix.itil.com"

The registration procedure involves 
	
	-Paying through Secure Credit Card Transaction server (Secure  service provided by world known IBILL), completely trusted.
	-After payment, You get a registration key instantly after providing little info 
	 about yourself i.e. Name, e-mail etc.

Notes:
There is no limit as to how many times you use the Updation in a day But there is a limit to the maximum days usage of the software itself. The Shareware trial version Foreign Exchange will allow a 30 days unlimited usage and the Registered Software will ensure unlimited usage for a period of TWELVE MONTHS from the date of installation. After every TWELVE MONTHS the choice of re-availing the Foreign Exchange service will involve
repayment. 

Registered users get as much support and help with the product as they like and
receive information about important changes to the program.

____Getting started

a) Choose the currency from the given list of participating currencies and enter any amount either in USD or in the selected currency to get the converted amount.  

b) Standard Calculator features can be used to perform calculations to get further results. 

____Useful tips for using the program

1) In the main screen Tap the "Update" button, when the device is connected to a Palm Pilot
modem (connected to a telephone line), which will establish a connection with Your ISP and then Download the LATEST Currency rates (of all the 58 Currencies in the software), through the INTERNET from our server "www.palmix.itil.com", where these currency Rates (against USD) get refreshed every hour.

2) "Setup" Utility allows the user to enter a Currency Name, Currency Symbol 
and Conversion Rate (equivalent to USD) which by default is Indian Rupees.Initially 
the Currency rate used is  1 U.S.Dollar = 43.470 Rupees Dated 12 August 1999 which can be changed by the user. 

3) A Pop-up-Menu displays the latest updation Date & Time. Also appear Edit Boxes wherein info for a custom currency name and conversion rate can be filled manually.

4) Tap the Pop-up-Menu and further select from the three sets of last Updated rates. Now the calculator will use these values for inter conversions & calculations.

5) In Conversion Rates Info displays the latest updation Date & Time. A Table displays the countries and the corresponding Conversion Rates.

6)Before using the "Update" you'll need to setup your Network preferences for your ISP (Internet Service provider).Please refer to the device's manual.
